@morretz. You are absolutely right on this. If you are happy to sort the problems out on a second-hand early issue one, then they are a good 2nd hand bargain. Mine is now working brilliantly well and it really only cost me a few pounds to put right and about 2 hours work all told. I've tried the new ones and the head version and none have rattled at all. Love the sound.
Can't agree with you more. SS amps and modeling amps just don't have that growl. This Marshall amp is a great thing. Hand wound in the UK, great cabinet too. Line 6 have their own place, just not here.
ha ha ha, no. You silicon addicts just dont seem understand. You can make it sound close, but it''ll never feel, act, respond, punch, growl, or sing like the real thing. WHY? because you can emulate a voice but you cant do what a tube does ...without the tube. You cant create harmonic qualities or tonal character with a circuit board.
Even at that, if you like your flextone, all the power to ya...heck whatever trips your trigger, its yours, not mine.

a LINE6 fLEXTONE 3 WOULD KILL THIS THING. Marshall...WAKE UP! It's NOT 1959 anymore! Flextone can sound EXACTLY like this and 50 other ways! Enough already
Been thinking of buying 1 of these for recording. I hate Amp Models and tired out from hauling around full heads and combos. this looks perfect for my needs.Plus it's a Marshall. Nuff said there.

Please be aware that these amps have terrible reliability issues that Marshall promised to solve but haven't.
