  • Ok kiddos, pay attention, this is pure musical talent.... not the crappola you are fed nowadays. Lady Blah Blah and Justin Beaver (sic) make me sick!! LoL!

  • so god visited church in 1971

  • Cut to Richard Wright when David Gilmour is soloing. Brilliant.

  • the path u tread is narrow to lead you to the floydian music of the soul: here!

  • Is the echo comming from the mic? or is it the acoustics of the church?

  • @Radsicles I think the echo is the acoustics of the church. What a fantastic sound! Would love to have this on DVD...hidden treasure really. Thanks for sharing :)

  • @Radsicles The very first scene shows Rick Wright, the organist, turning a silver rod in a circular motion. The rod operates the quadraphonic sound system that Floyd had designed for them. You can access info about the equipment in Wikipedia. It shows a picture of the thing. The unit could move different parts of the sound to the four corners of the room.

  • Beautiful! Hadn't seen this before. Where did this come from? Is the footage available elsewhere? Thanks for sharing anyway :)

  • Aaaaahhhhh3

  • lol @ Gilmour adjusting Waters' bass tuning :D:D

p.s. one of my favorite PF videos and possibly the most favorite song along with "Eugene"! :))

  • Who needs god when you have Pink Floyd at the church?

  • @scastrolima Hahaha!! True!!

  • What is this, the cameras focusing on more than the lead singer????

  • 0:15 that is the second Azimuth Coordinator that Pink Floyd used. The speakers must be mounted around the church somewhere. It must have been an incredible experience, as the sound bounced around those stone walls!

  • It´s new to me!

  • I enjoy the imperfect recording.

    Quite artful.

  • Magnifique !

  • Fuck me this is great stuff...

  • tha's strange...

never seen gilmour left to mason, and waters a wright on the other side ....

  • this begs for a tab

  • doesn't waters know how to get his bass in tune? he had to ask for a help from gilmour in the middle of the song... kkkkkk

  • @rodrigoLeuname That's because he was playing it at the time you dingy. kkkkkkk

  • This song is played in a church? I love this song but I know what the song means because of the film More.

  • This is the best thing that's EVER happened in a church. Period.

  • Forever Floyd Pink, song amazing is this !!

  • This is amazing song, Pink Floyd forever !!

  • 506-3...;)

  • tema sensual

  • su musica es algo que no puedo, evitar por mas que pasen los años

  • @wentzerleon El plaka nacka socka, yo moka!

  • his music is something I can not, avoid passing over the years

  • Stopped at this church, Abbaye de Royaumont, this summer and had long Floyd moment. Magic.

  • que gran cancion !!!

  • @galda24 Ga dinga, ga dinga, pa pa!

  • @MrYosup27 .l. pene para ti imbecil !!!!

  • @galda24 Chill out amigo. lol :oD

  • Just curious, was Rick Wright left handed?

At age 18 in 1984 I spent my first week in Los Angeles, after moving there from the sticks of Ohio, in a seedy YMCA that reeked of urine and jerry curl cream. I had the cloths on my back, a small suitcase, my guitar, and a walkman with a Pink Floyd Animals tape in it. It was a record nationwide heat wave and my window would only open 1 inch. Too afraid to leave my room for a couple of days I must have listened to that tape 200 times. Love Pink Floyd!

  • i'd go to church every sunday if this was the case!

  • @drum5479 If Rick was playing the Organ in such a Spaced out way & Psychedelia was the religion!, then i might consider it! Straight To Heaven In 1967! Or 1971!! When this was filmed!

  • @drum5479 Me too, olso every day :-)

  • Thought the bass' 4th string was a bit out of tune and then Gilmour just heads off to Roger and tunes it up. Pretty sweet in a way...

Amazing footage, where have this been hiding all these years?

  • hey David, at 1:02 uff.. anyway sublime

  • Sorry but that guy is hottt

  • @Briannastokes24 David Gilmour you mean? oh yeah, he's sex on a stick...

  • RIP Rick. Three years gone Sept 15.

  • What church is that

  • @reytopa the only one that god have gone

  • Whoa, 15.06...my birthday :) God, how I wish I had been able to go to a Floyd concert back then.

  • 40 years later

    still fucking amazing and new

  • How come there is no LOVE button?

  • Ah, 1971, the year was pure magic for Floyd. They couldn't put a foot wrong.

  • @thewordofgord Yes! Agreed. Love this era, just after Syd was gone.

  • Well, 3 priests didn't like this intrusion in their church

    David is so hot...

  • @PinnkFlooyd Who cares about the priests? They are blind.

  • there´s that pan pot...

oh Rick :,( we miss you

  • @sk8erJG95 Translate= Traducir, Sentence= Enunciado

  • this is definitely one of their best

  • Bloody awesome !!!!!!!!

  • oh 3 people are deaf and blind, poor them

  • Nice stuff ! Thanks

  • omg where did you find this??? This is epic

  • 3 persons don't like going to church...

  • It's not the best take of Gilmour's voice!!

  • @OrpheusXII

That's pretty much what he sounded like live back in those days.

  • @marnold6879 hahaha yes! you can see him do the same in the amsterdam rock circus... people who argue one vs. the other have already lost in that they have missed the point entirely.

  • wow this is very very nice excellent Gilmour the best fantastic million stars ********* 100000000000 bravo

  • watta wonderful masterpiece..... i'm just playin on and on and on in this high times.... I can't believe the sound is so beautiful....

  • at about 4:12 notice Gilmour walk over to Roger's bass and adjust a tuning key...Poor Rog is tone-deaf and could never tune his bass. SEE THEY NEED EACH OTHER!

  • @marnold6879 and to add, it's amazing someone tone-deaf could write some of the best music ever made.

  • @marnold6879 That was endearing watching that. I heard Rick used to help Rog tune up before each gig. Too bad all that innocence was lost.

  • Location is: Abbaye de Royaumont, Royaumont, France

  • DIG!! Rick Wright At 3.35,my main man !!including SYDin 67,i llove syd but after he left & in 68 ,i just love rick, the sounds he made are Amazing! he seemed to take the band into OUTERSPACE!!!

  • how can you not love Floyd's songs??3 people had a brain damage

  • Sometimes people say nick mason was a bad drummer, but he is absolutely the perfect fit and style for pink floyd, he was just as much part of the pink floyd sound as anyone else...and since PF is one of the best bands of all time, most innovative for sure, he has to rate up there, my opinion.

  • @marnold6879 exactly man, i dont own a drumkit, but im a musician/composer. he doesnt improvise, but his drums mark the feeling of the band, and, without improvising, the badass is still there (like the hi-hat in another brick 2, or every other drum line he wrote is still badass)

  • @marnold6879 Who the hell says he's a bad drummer? He has so much feeling in his playing, I don't think I've heard anyone replicate his incredibly lax, yet funky approach

  • @ezisk Yes, you are so right, "lax yet funky". As perfect for the band as Ringo was for his.

  • son la mamada y no hay nadie como ellos

  • hope thares other tracks too this and ware could i get a copy

  • WOW, thx for this footage, one of my favorite songs in incredible quality for his year. Pink Floyd forever and ever,

@thesyd1975: im downloading this -> Pink Floyd - Pro-shot in Europe 1969-1972 (DVD),

  • Pink Floyd still first in space!

  • @seeeker French TV. The show took place in a town called Royaumont...

  • i'm retracting my "sound is not great" comment. how stupid of a comment i just made! for the time period and technology for the time, it's awesome!!!! Floyd is the best!!!

  • this is floyd at their best !!!!! while the sound is not great, who can't love the magic !!! what a concept! in an old church playing this masterpiece!

  • Daviddd ♥♥

  • ROGER rules

  • @drdotislovinlife Roger is great, but David is the ULTIMATE!!!!!! Rick, and Nick are close seconds! Pink Floyd will NEVER die!

  • you can get this version on the bootleg cd called french tv 1968-1971,it also has a version of set the controls...... from the same performance, which is pretty spacey, its easy to find and download on the internet.

  • Isn't that on More?

  • AAAAND IT'S HIIIGH TIIIME......Cymbaline....

I Donno how many times I have screamed this at the top of my lungs throughout my life. Excellent little ditty.

  • Who the hell disliked this song?

  • @phoneix91 Just 3 people who apparently are not Floyd fans...so they can't appreciate their music. This song is too cool....

  • @phoneix91 I think......the people really close of mind!!!!!!

  • @phoneix91 I'm completely sure they were pretty high, or they died of happiness and their head hit the dislike button

  • @santiagodebellavista

No, but when you are hallucinating, those thumbs keep moving!

  • @phoneix91 a asshole

  • @phoneix91 jackwagons. That's who.

  • @phoneix91 Does it matter? Some fool most likely.

  • imádom ezt a számot és David milyen gyönyörű!!!

  • @ildoszful Boy............You can say that again!

  • If Glen Benton hear this he will cry lol ...darker that a lot of things without mentioning inventions like the dvil :P ;).

  • this is awesome

  • Oops...3 people missed the like button.

  • @thetrumpetstar must've been some stupid buttrocker or MTV punk.

  • Does anyone agree with that the movement Holy Richard does is to control the Azimuth Coordinator? However a great ambient aontest for this song...

  • 4:45 Exactly the same phrase of guitar in One Of These Days´s midley (PULSE version)

  • Wow -- never realized Rick Wright had such an active left hand. Almost better than his Wright . . . er right.

  • Wow!! This is amazing footage that I've never seen or heard of before. I just happened to do a search for Cymbaline and I'm glad I did. I just want to know if there is any more footage from this performance?? Thanks for sharing it.

  • That keyboard! <3 Rick Wright

  • This is my absolute favorite version of this song. so good. my lover has the sexiest voice. he's sooo cute. I love david gilmour <3

  • ths more I listen to this, particularly at the end, I find myself thinking this music touches some kind of place in the brain that calls and pulls the minds attention to somthing unseen but somthing everyone knows like in there subconcious. like some knowledge that we have but is forever locked away. gives me the chills but not in a bad way.

  • @angie4josh It's good to know other people come back to this again and again. Several Floyd videos have been shut down lately due to youtube's new rules. If this particular one vanishes I will be devastated.

  • @IsisTiamat Im going to download it and keep a copy just in case.

  • @IsisTiamat i agree i would hate to never hear this version again,i think that a lot of the live versions of floyd album tracks are more intresting,to me anyway,i think rick wright has never got the praise he deserves,i love his sounds on this track,

  • @thesyd1975 What you say is so very true :-))

  • i always thought this was the best track on MORE but i have to say this is now one of my favourite floyd tracks EVER post SYD.much better than album version, and i love the spacey ending from rick wright on keyboards.he should be missed and also given more credit as his sounds were very important in the floyd up till animals anyway, but totally from 67 till 73. thanx for posting

  • The ending jam was somthing so dark and beautiful i nearly had an out of body experience.

  • Nothing short of magical.

    Dark and magical.

  • The guy that film this, must have a had really good camera to film this back in '71.

  • Heavy stuff

  • This is great, thanks for sharing this, great sound too! Mick of Cicadadrive(cyan)

  • Simply great, one of the best vidoes of this song i'd ever seen!!!
