Except for the highly suspect gubmint takeover of railroads (thanks to Lincoln, uh no thanks) Americans USED to think government was LIMITED to defense and foreign treaties, coining money and valuing the gold/silver it was made of and that was IT!

it should be required viewing for "modern" Democrates and esp Barack Obama. then they might learn HOW to actually FIGHT for middle class workers instead of just being "Republican Light"
