Very Good!! One of my favorite dishes and the way I make it according to my Mom & Grandmother. I recently learned to make it with 3 layers of pasta in a 9 x 13 pan so I overlap the pasta as I like more pasta, not as rich. Thanks, Rob
Hi Maria, your Lasagne looks wonderful. As I said on another vid, for some reason this dish seems to bring out the overly opinionated. One guy was screaming that it must have a white sauce "Thats why its called Lasagne Al Forno". I told him all that means is it is baked in the oven. I don't get people. Here is a delicious dish than most people love; whats to hate.? And to the guy who said that's not Mozzerella...it sure as hell is! Just ignore people like that, you are a great cook. Tess
Listen this is not Lasagna, if you like to cook, than at least follow the real recipe otherwise say you make it on your way...By the way if you would be able to cook you would be able to combine the tastes...but i can see you have no idea also about that.
Your recipe looks wonderful. But I had to go back twice to be sure that you added the onion and garlic to your cheese mixture and not to the ground beef. I think I would change that around since I like to serve extra sauce on the side and I'd like that sauce to have the onion and garlic flavor in it. Your video was very good, very informative.

Did you cook the tomato sauce from raw, fresh tomatoes or canned tomatoes? It sounds like you started with fresh tomatoes. That's what I like to do. Thanks for the video.
Everyone makes lasagna differently and each one has its own great taste. I, myself, make small little meatballs (about 500) and layer those instead of meat sauce and i use a "white" and "red" sauce, with lots of grated mozzarella and romano cheese, and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top at the end. Bona Petit
this is just like making a cheesburger using icecream and beans. Just say you have invented a recipe, but please don't call it lasagne. It has nothing to do with it.
First time I hear about a "classic ricotta and mozzarella cheese filling" for Lasagne. If people would add something like "my personal version of Lasagne (or whatever)" they would probably get less critics by original -recipes-purists.
Excellent American Recipe.... But Italian Lasagne are different. South of Italy...most of times use Ricotta, in the North mostly Besciamella Sauce, and more ground meat (sausage sometimes!). One thing is common: Tomatoes are not only in paste but also fresh and in chunks.... Pasta is cooked in water that has 1/3 of beef broth..so gets tastier...and in Italy, It's never served with garlic bread...Le Lasagne sono il Primo piatto! Come to Italy..you' ll taste the difference!

Your measurements were surely reliable! This is the third time I've made it. It also worked well, here in Tokyo, with canned white sauce instead of ricotta cheese. Thank you again for your great tips!
