The506easy made a perfect comment, the gun thats often forgotten by the US that is known as one of the best rifles ever created, the Lee Enfield is accurate, powerful, and extremely reliable, I have one dated 1943 Mk.2, It has seen ww2 and brutal hunts that u would never bring a $1000 rifle and it has NEVER failed in any way. In 2007 Newfoundland rangers beat U.S. Navy Seals in a shooting competition (Quebec), ALL NL rangers used .303 Lee Enfields, This is a fact, showing this guns potential!
I have read studies done by Guns and Ammo where they tested every axis and allies country that fought in ww2 and the rifle that out shot them all with regularity was the British Lee enfield 303. Thats just the test i read folks, not trying to start anything.
mosin nagants can be accurate but sorry buddy you aint going to be doin some bench with that. They are fun to collect shoot have fun with but deff arent the most accurate for 500 Meters. Not to mention the 7.62x54r round is not really the best choice either barrel on rifle prob average if not poor. Errmm ya....
the barrel on myn is in awesome condition. it has clean sharp rifling all the way to the muzzle. one would probably think its had light use for being made in 1934.
@baconator490 well lets look at the time your talking about. The technology was not as good back then barrel making machining accuracy etc. The Russians made a good gun but not the best. By far Germany and the United States had the most clean effective firearms. Russians however made what they could and did pretty well. Battle rifles like the mosin nagants were made into sniper rifles because of necessity. Mauser's like the k98 had a superior action to it which is now cloned on all bolt actions/
the mosin nagants made after WW1 and before WW2 are pretty fine rifles. and the k98 was a battle rifle which was converted into snipers also. germany had a good bolt action which the US copied. but the mosin nagant was developed in 1891 so yeah...
@baconator490 90 Percent of rifles shoot well... You can buy a stevens 200 for a few hundred bucks and screw on a krieger barrel with a Timney trigger and but a scope like a bushnell elite 6500 and you've got a pretty awesome shooter!
i got a mosin nagant for 100$ need a scope and scope mount and they are said to be extremely accurate out over 500meters. and its a surplus gun with no upgrades
@baconator490 mosin nagants can be accurate but sorry buddy you aint going to be doin some bench with that. They are fun to collect shoot have fun with but deff arent the most accurate for 500 Meters. Not to mention the 7.62x54r round is not really the best choice either barrel on rifle prob average if not poor. Errmm ya....
the 7.62x54r round is a pretty good round actually. its has good fps and sports a fairly large round 180gr for commerical. it has a lot of surplus ammunition available and those rounds are said to be pretty accurate and powerful. the only downside of most surplus ammo is that the primers are corrosive
@davids11131113 ya but read more about it i asked him if he had done anything to it and he admitted he glass bedded the action and free floated the barrel and did some other stuff to it, no way a stock mosin would do that, last time i shot one it threw like a 2 foot grouping at 100 yds, its just a club with a barrel, the lee enfield is a far superior rifle
I have had Longrange training and am qualified to say that that is not 500 yards. Your technique is was too unstable to be shooting that far and hit an egg. To be more stable, the shooter needs to be as close to the ground as possible. A true sniper would not jack his bipod un in the was you did. The supersonic crack is heard before contact is made so I estimate that you were shooting at about 250 yards at the maximum. If anyone needs to get longrange training it would be you.
I'm glad you're so qualified... please come shooting with us to see for yourself... we go out just about every weekend. The bi-pod is up so high because we're shooting up. It's not very comfortable but it works. I would welcome you to come out and show us a thing or two! Please watch our other videos.... this one sucks because we couldn't get footage from the shooter's position... we've upgraded the camera since then.
Quote "you would recognise that the sound you are hearing is the supersonic "crack" not the repor of the rifle. I'd highly recommend looking at my other videos before making an ass of yourself!" you would hear the follow up boom of the gun as well if your saying that what we are hearing is the supersonic crack. i also do long range shooting son im just not stupid enough to believe this.... and also i know no one stupid enough to stand up range of some one shooting - FAIL
Well you could watch the more recent videos as I've recommended. Or lets meet and do some long range shooting together. Perhaps we could meet at a long range shooting match and see who's really full of it... perhaps you'd fail and I would not. Check out West Coast Tactical's web site for up comming matching including the results of the recent one's I've competed in. When you shoot an F-class match there are "pits" that you pull the target from this allows one to be down range and safe.
LOL you can hear the sound at exactly the same time as the gun shot.
quote would take 0.744291339 seconds to reach this distance at average atmospheric pressure at sea level and the difference of this location will not make up that time difference that is herd and seen in this clip therefor you fail.!
Don't let the naysayers get you down. I do not compete but love to go out and shoot long range as well generally at rock chucks or other varmints.
Lately I have been getting away from the large bore and shooting smaller bore at long range. That is every bit as much fun as shooting big bore at longer ranges and costs less. My current favorite gun is the .204 and have shot rockchucks over 800 yrds with it.
ive gone down 2 .177 air guns, i shoot asprin @ 40 yrds. 222 brass @ 100, and 3 inch ballons @ 200 yrds. the 200 yrd. .177 cal is most challenging shot ive come across, my gun chronos @ 990 fps. and has enough energy 2 go thru both side of a gallon milk jug @ 200 yrds. i took a turkey last season with it @ 75yrds. with a clean head shot, he still danced for about 2 mins. my buddy then got the other tom, with his 17mm savage, advantage 2 air power, dosnt spook other toms so u can double up!
Obviously you've never shot in any kind of a long range match where you pull targets for other competitors (like an F-class match), or you would recognise that the sound you are hearing is the supersonic "crack" not the report of the rifle. I'd highly recommend looking at my other videos before making an ass of yourself! I love how people with no longrange shooting experience are so quick to act like experts. Why don't you get out and shoot? Sorry, I've had it with all these "internet snipers"!
It really depends on your budget. If you have the funds the Nightforce scopes are nice my buddy and I both have the NF 3.5-15x50. If you are on a tight budget I've had good luck with the Super Sniper 10x42 (SWFA) and many have done well with the Bushnell 10x40T. I have a Leupold Mk 4 4.5-14x40 with TMR and M1 turrets and it's a good scope as well. Sightron's SIII 6-24x50 is supposed to be good for the money.
Depends on your budget. The cheapest scope that I know of that will work reliably for long range shooting is the Bushnell 10x40 Tactical. They run about $200. You'll probably be upgrading your rifle before you buy a higher end optic like Leupold Mk 4, NightForce NXS, USO etc. For more specific advise send me a pm with your budget and your needs (ie what distances you plan to shoot, if you will also hunt with it etc.).
Any shot within 8"(probably more) would very likely disperse fragments (metallic or rock) at sufficient energies to shatter the nearby egg. While the shooters may be very accurate, his is not a "tidy" example of accuracy.
If you belive this is the case please come out and shoot with us, or just look at the most recent videos we have up if you don't believe the accuracy. As I've stated before, yes we've broken eggs without hitting them it's not uncommon, however, the difference can be seen by a spotter. Never broken one with a hit 8" away although in the right circumstances it would be possible. We've hit within an inch before and had the egg remain intact.
I've printed 5 shot 1/2 MOA groups on papaer from over 700yds. If you would like more proof please arrange to come shooting with us. I go out just about every weekend over the summer/spring. I've done this in the past and never had anyone leave a non-believer. Please watch our more recent videos. I'd be glad to show you first hand spectrum1.
Keep practicing with your 22 it's very valuable to learn and hone you marksmanship skills. I still shoot lots of rim fire, especially for position shooting practice. Keep it up.
ha ha! yeah, neither would mine, but I love sniping, which is why I got a winchester wildcat. It is supposed to be a very accurate bolt action .22. I have not gotten a chance to shoot it yet, but hopefully I will soon.
Wait...half MOA at 700? The best I have seen in 600yd benchrest is a 6mmBR shooting a 5 shot group 0.860"...wow, your one hell of a good shot. And you got the money to fund your hobby...I'm happy with my "enhanced" Remingtons and the most I have ever payed for a gun is around 2k...
Can't imagine you spent too much time with the BR guys or you would know that 1/2 MOA is 3.5" at 700yds. 1/2 MOA at 100yds is .5". A Minute of angle (or MOA) is an angular measurment that increases with distance. I've had 1" groups at 500yds which is just under 1/4 MOA.
Which I found quite scary. Whilst you weren't always hitting the eggs atop that ridge, you were hitting dam close enough to move them. And were talking about a target 10 times smaller then a head. Impressive.
I don't doubt that the set up was as described. And I don't doubt that the shooters are extremely skilled and are actually hitting the eggs. I am only saying that as a video to show accuracy, this example is problematic. Too many variables affect what the viewer sees. But damn, it looks fun!
Glad you liked it. Some of our more recent videos are from the shooter's position and show what's going on a bit better. If you reload, try the 210gr Berger VLD's (if you haven't already).
i jsut bought a mossberg .308 with a tabso scope and really have no clue what its capable of the scope goes up to 22 zoom and has a knob on top reading from 100 - 500 yards, i bought some win. 150 grains for it and havnt shot it yet, im only 18 and need help please
In good conditions the 308 can perform remarkably well. When shooting in a gusty wind the difference between cartridges like a win mag and 308 can become very clear, especially on cold bore shots. The 700p is an excellent rifle. What's your MV... 2750fps?
I have a 7wsm and love it. Cold bore shot on football size rock from 950yds... dead center, no joke. Cold bore shots from 500-600yds are almost too easy. The 7mm mag will have ballistics equal to or better than my 7wsm if you hand load and shoot through a match grade (hand lapped) barrel like my 26" 7mm, 1:9 twist, 3 groove benchmark. I'm shooting the 168gr Berger VLD at 3100fps. It's a definate upgrade over the 308, but you'll pay for the performance with poor barrel life.
Lighter bullets are flatter at closer ranges (usually out to 400+yds)and heavy (high BC) bullets start to be an advantage arround 500yds or so. If you reload try H4350 it's always worked well for me with the 270.
I have one and took a nice buck with it from over 500yds. It's substantially flatter than a 308 but because of poor high BC bullet selection there are other calibers that can easily outperform it. If you reload try the berger VLD's for best long range performance. When you burn the barrel up other calibers would be better if long range is the goal. For example the 260 rem. will generally shoot flatter at long range because of the high BC .264 bullets, + you'll have less recoil to contend with.
Sounds good, I use pretty light bullets in .270 around 130-grain. I was thinking about trying some 110-grain for flatter shooting but I want it to take down deer as well...if only I was rich and could splurge on a .338 or .50 barret and have power and extreme range. :'(
Works better if you suspend the eggs via a baling wire cradle from a target frame. That way the hits are really hits and the ricochets and close shots dont count. If your bullet doesnt hit the egg it doesnt burst.
We'll have to work on some lines to shout before shooting hornstra1...
The other video is up guys but the quality isn't very good and it's nearly impossible to tell what's going on. If anyone can help me load a high quality version it would be greatly apprecieated. Thanks.
What orchestral song did you use in the middle of your movie? By the way good shooting, I need to get my bushy and 700 LTR out for some plinking at my range.
This is America? In movies, there's allways some ass shouting 'You've got the right to remain silence! or 'Make my day, you egg' or'Die!'. I believe I have to change my mind on 'Sempre Fi' too. Tss. Even Rambo did or said something before all hell broke loose. Lol. 'If we miss them eggs, we'll have at least the hill!' Collateral damage, als we all know it. Roflolofthehill.
For this video we were using a Super Sniper 10x42 (available from SWFA only) and the Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40 tactical. We've since changed over to the Leupold VX-III LR 6-20x50 (30mm tube), and the Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x50 tactical (30mm tube). Now we feel bad for our buddies still trying to do it with only 10x! I'm looking into getting the USO SN-3 3-17x44 (34mm tube). Going to have to save some money.
just to add to my previous comment, I've spent a lot of time in the butts in my local range, and when a .308 hits the target I'm manning the muzzle report sounds similar to a .22 and can be deceiving, also the hit is almost instantaneous depending on direction of wind etc, it plays with the sound as it travels just behind the bullet with supersonics.
good shooting mate if it was 500 yrds, from one long range shooter to another i belive you, by the way whats the name of the song and the singer's i've always liked the power in this song it conjures up adrenalin.
I'll get some clips up showing from the shooter's position (my buddy borrowed a camera with more optical zoom. The band is Pantera the song is "Hollow".
I know exactly what you're saying and my buddy and I were confused at first. I'm try to determine why this is the case. One guy told me the bullet is supersonic and there for you can hear it as it gets closer. I have footage now from the shooter's position and you can see the vapor trail and everything. I'll get the footage up soon hopefully and you can see the flight time for yourself. If I get an explination on why you can hear the shot so quickly I'll be sure to share.
not tyin to be a dick or anything not sayin you cant hit eggs at 500 yards either just not in this video. Good shooting and be safe no matter how far you say your shooting
it takes around 3/4 of a second for a .308 to hit at 500 yards. eggs are not hard shoots at that far but this video is not the eggs explode as soon as the rifle reports ooops didnt think anyone who knows a few things about guns would be on youtube 2600-2800 fps at the muzzle give or take. slows to 1600-1800 at 500 you do the math on time to impact sorry man good try
The answer is simple, The camera is at basicly the same distance as target NOT at the shooters position, therefore the sound is traveling 500 yards also. Try your math again?
The point i was trying to make was people seem to think there should be more of a time delay between first hearing the sound then seeing the eggs hit. The camera is at same distance of eggs therefore the delay is very short.
i know i posted a comment befor i thought about it the bullet would reach the egss faster that the muzzle report with a delay, i didnt think about the super sonic crack i have set 20 ft from 400 yard targets and know what the crack sounds like and the video sounds nothing like it the camera sucks thats why the mistake was made.
Where do you live? I'm in Everett Washington. I'd be glad to take you shooting with us if you really think we're making these shots from 100yds and not 500. Even if you're not all that close it may be worth the trip if you think these shots are not possible. We've got a new spot were we regularly shoot eggs at 588yds. I've hit 9 in a row from that distance with my 243. Look me up on snipercentral or e-mail me and I can flood you with pics and info if you like.
awesome shooting guys.. I am in spokane WA.. Ive got a .308 @ GAprecision right now and would love to start shooting comps.. when and where are some more competitions?
We're competiting in the Idaho State Sniper Challenge on June 21st (it's both team and individualy scored). check out snipercentral or longrangehunting to keep in touch about local events.
we shoot clay pigeons here with our 223's at 500-700 yards.. so I don't see why an egg is any more lest feasible. Just because you cant hit an egg at 20 feet doesn't mean others cant do it out to 500-1000 yards.
You guys crack me up with your oversized egg theory. Why don't you come check me out at the 300yd Match this Saturday 8:00 am in Kennmore WA. Bring a rifle.
YAY its the song that Ice Cube used in his intro on "up in the smoke tour"

mosin nagants can be accurate but sorry buddy you aint going to be doin some bench with that. They are fun to collect shoot have fun with but deff arent the most accurate for 500 Meters. Not to mention the 7.62x54r round is not really the best choice either barrel on rifle prob average if not poor. Errmm ya....
BENLINUZ 2 years ago
the barrel on myn is in awesome condition. it has clean sharp rifling all the way to the muzzle. one would probably think its had light use for being made in 1934.
baconator490 2 years ago
ya no doubt some are in nice shape but they are deff not noted for their accuracy.
BENLINUZ 2 years ago
then why were they used as snipers during ww2?
baconator490 2 years ago
@baconator490 well lets look at the time your talking about. The technology was not as good back then barrel making machining accuracy etc. The Russians made a good gun but not the best. By far Germany and the United States had the most clean effective firearms. Russians however made what they could and did pretty well. Battle rifles like the mosin nagants were made into sniper rifles because of necessity. Mauser's like the k98 had a superior action to it which is now cloned on all bolt actions/
BENLINUZ 2 years ago
the mosin nagants made after WW1 and before WW2 are pretty fine rifles. and the k98 was a battle rifle which was converted into snipers also. germany had a good bolt action which the US copied. but the mosin nagant was developed in 1891 so yeah...

the 7.62x54r round is a pretty good round actually. its has good fps and sports a fairly large round 180gr for commerical. it has a lot of surplus ammunition available and those rounds are said to be pretty accurate and powerful. the only downside of most surplus ammo is that the primers are corrosive

BrentWilliamson 2 years ago
I have had Longrange training and am qualified to say that that is not 500 yards. Your technique is was too unstable to be shooting that far and hit an egg. To be more stable, the shooter needs to be as close to the ground as possible. A true sniper would not jack his bipod un in the was you did. The supersonic crack is heard before contact is made so I estimate that you were shooting at about 250 yards at the maximum. If anyone needs to get longrange training it would be you.
moffitt121 2 years ago 2

0DmR0 2 years ago
Well you could watch the more recent videos as I've recommended. Or lets meet and do some long range shooting together. Perhaps we could meet at a long range shooting match and see who's really full of it... perhaps you'd fail and I would not. Check out West Coast Tactical's web site for up comming matching including the results of the recent one's I've competed in. When you shoot an F-class match there are "pits" that you pull the target from this allows one to be down range and safe.
beitner1 2 years ago
LOL you can hear the sound at exactly the same time as the gun shot.
quote would take 0.744291339 seconds to reach this distance at average atmospheric pressure at sea level and the difference of this location will not make up that time difference that is herd and seen in this clip therefor you fail.!
0DmR0 2 years ago
Thanks, nice rock chuck videos by the way.
beitner1 2 years ago

KSFALLGUY 2 years ago
that's not 500 yards. the sound arrives before the bullet hits the egg.
At such a distance, the egg should be hit, then about 1/2 a second later, we should hear the shot... Sorry, Sound travels slower than a bullet.
towerrigger 2 years ago
Obviously you've never shot in any kind of a long range match where you pull targets for other competitors (like an F-class match), or you would recognise that the sound you are hearing is the supersonic "crack" not the report of the rifle. I'd highly recommend looking at my other videos before making an ass of yourself! I love how people with no longrange shooting experience are so quick to act like experts. Why don't you get out and shoot? Sorry, I've had it with all these "internet snipers"!

dirkofyork 2 years ago
It really depends on your budget. If you have the funds the Nightforce scopes are nice my buddy and I both have the NF 3.5-15x50. If you are on a tight budget I've had good luck with the Super Sniper 10x42 (SWFA) and many have done well with the Bushnell 10x40T. I have a Leupold Mk 4 4.5-14x40 with TMR and M1 turrets and it's a good scope as well. Sightron's SIII 6-24x50 is supposed to be good for the money.

chalio33 3 years ago
Depends on your budget. The cheapest scope that I know of that will work reliably for long range shooting is the Bushnell 10x40 Tactical. They run about $200. You'll probably be upgrading your rifle before you buy a higher end optic like Leupold Mk 4, NightForce NXS, USO etc. For more specific advise send me a pm with your budget and your needs (ie what distances you plan to shoot, if you will also hunt with it etc.).
beitner1 3 years ago
Any shot within 8"(probably more) would very likely disperse fragments (metallic or rock) at sufficient energies to shatter the nearby egg. While the shooters may be very accurate, his is not a "tidy" example of accuracy.
sceptrum1 3 years ago
If you belive this is the case please come out and shoot with us, or just look at the most recent videos we have up if you don't believe the accuracy. As I've stated before, yes we've broken eggs without hitting them it's not uncommon, however, the difference can be seen by a spotter. Never broken one with a hit 8" away although in the right circumstances it would be possible. We've hit within an inch before and had the egg remain intact.

fourthirtyninty 2 years ago
Wait...half MOA at 700? The best I have seen in 600yd benchrest is a 6mmBR shooting a 5 shot group 0.860"...wow, your one hell of a good shot. And you got the money to fund your hobby...I'm happy with my "enhanced" Remingtons and the most I have ever payed for a gun is around 2k...
arcticf0x8 3 years ago
Can't imagine you spent too much time with the BR guys or you would know that 1/2 MOA is 3.5" at 700yds. 1/2 MOA at 100yds is .5". A Minute of angle (or MOA) is an angular measurment that increases with distance. I've had 1" groups at 500yds which is just under 1/4 MOA.
beitner1 3 years ago
Which I found quite scary. Whilst you weren't always hitting the eggs atop that ridge, you were hitting dam close enough to move them. And were talking about a target 10 times smaller then a head. Impressive.
Paintballer2200 2 years ago
I don't doubt that the set up was as described. And I don't doubt that the shooters are extremely skilled and are actually hitting the eggs. I am only saying that as a video to show accuracy, this example is problematic. Too many variables affect what the viewer sees. But damn, it looks fun!

Id put my .308 Rem 700p, with berger 168's against a winmag 700 any day
romieiv 3 years ago
In good conditions the 308 can perform remarkably well. When shooting in a gusty wind the difference between cartridges like a win mag and 308 can become very clear, especially on cold bore shots. The 700p is an excellent rifle. What's your MV... 2750fps?
beitner1 3 years ago
I was thinking about buying a 7mm what are you opinions on this rifle Ive never used one im use to a .308 upgrade or downgrade?
tootall6682 3 years ago
I have a 7wsm and love it. Cold bore shot on football size rock from 950yds... dead center, no joke. Cold bore shots from 500-600yds are almost too easy. The 7mm mag will have ballistics equal to or better than my 7wsm if you hand load and shoot through a match grade (hand lapped) barrel like my 26" 7mm, 1:9 twist, 3 groove benchmark. I'm shooting the 168gr Berger VLD at 3100fps. It's a definate upgrade over the 308, but you'll pay for the performance with poor barrel life.
beitner1 3 years ago
Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi is the tune. Made famous from Conan. Nice video!
warrenkm 3 years ago
Lighter bullets are flatter at closer ranges (usually out to 400+yds)and heavy (high BC) bullets start to be an advantage arround 500yds or so. If you reload try H4350 it's always worked well for me with the 270.
beitner1 3 years ago
Hey beitner, how do you feel about .270 Win?
GCMxVeGeTa 3 years ago
I have one and took a nice buck with it from over 500yds. It's substantially flatter than a 308 but because of poor high BC bullet selection there are other calibers that can easily outperform it. If you reload try the berger VLD's for best long range performance. When you burn the barrel up other calibers would be better if long range is the goal. For example the 260 rem. will generally shoot flatter at long range because of the high BC .264 bullets, + you'll have less recoil to contend with.
beitner1 3 years ago
Sounds good, I use pretty light bullets in .270 around 130-grain. I was thinking about trying some 110-grain for flatter shooting but I want it to take down deer as well...if only I was rich and could splurge on a .338 or .50 barret and have power and extreme range. :'(
GCMxVeGeTa 3 years ago
chicken abortions.
GetMeThere1 3 years ago
Works better if you suspend the eggs via a baling wire cradle from a target frame. That way the hits are really hits and the ricochets and close shots dont count. If your bullet doesnt hit the egg it doesnt burst.

Going to have to save some money.
beitner1 3 years ago
just to add to my previous comment, I've spent a lot of time in the butts in my local range, and when a .308 hits the target I'm manning the muzzle report sounds similar to a .22 and can be deceiving, also the hit is almost instantaneous depending on direction of wind etc, it plays with the sound as it travels just behind the bullet with supersonics.
lenthesniper 3 years ago
good shooting mate if it was 500 yrds, from one long range shooter to another i belive you, by the way whats the name of the song and the singer's i've always liked the power in this song it conjures up adrenalin.
lenthesniper 3 years ago
I'll get some clips up showing from the shooter's position (my buddy borrowed a camera with more optical zoom. The band is Pantera the song is "Hollow".
beitner1 3 years ago
I have to agree with HKuspDADDY. The report of the rifle and instant hit do not correlate with a 500 yrd shot. The gun sounds like a rimfire too.
gunznguitarz 3 years ago
I know exactly what you're saying and my buddy and I were confused at first. I'm try to determine why this is the case. One guy told me the bullet is supersonic and there for you can hear it as it gets closer. I have footage now from the shooter's position and you can see the vapor trail and everything. I'll get the footage up soon hopefully and you can see the flight time for yourself. If I get an explination on why you can hear the shot so quickly I'll be sure to share.
beitner1 3 years ago
not tyin to be a dick or anything not sayin you cant hit eggs at 500 yards either just not in this video. Good shooting and be safe no matter how far you say your shooting
P.S. Vote to keep your guns in november.
HKuspDADDY 3 years ago
it takes around 3/4 of a second for a .308 to hit at 500 yards. eggs are not hard shoots at that far but this video is not the eggs explode as soon as the rifle reports ooops didnt think anyone who knows a few things about guns would be on youtube 2600-2800 fps at the muzzle give or take. slows to 1600-1800 at 500 you do the math on time to impact sorry man good try
HKuspDADDY 3 years ago
The answer is simple, The camera is at basicly the same distance as target NOT at the shooters position, therefore the sound is traveling 500 yards also. Try your math again?
0neSh0t0neKlLL 3 years ago
Sound travels less than 1200fps these bullets start out at arround 2700fps. The sound you hear is the supersonic "crack".
beitner1 3 years ago
The point i was trying to make was people seem to think there should be more of a time delay between first hearing the sound then seeing the eggs hit. The camera is at same distance of eggs therefore the delay is very short.
0neSh0t0neKlLL 3 years ago
i know i posted a comment befor i thought about it the bullet would reach the egss faster that the muzzle report with a delay, i didnt think about the super sonic crack i have set 20 ft from 400 yard targets and know what the crack sounds like and the video sounds nothing like it the camera sucks thats why the mistake was made.
