this is great. right now im working on them i can only complete it for 2 seconds but i need the right bar or set ups to master it. im at 10 max muscle ups right now.
@Imjustaregularguy1 nice. my flag is about the same time but my max muscle ups r only 4 without letting go of the bar. but im trying to use strict form, no swinging
I started out by doing a lot of pull ups, chin ups, and muscle ups. After i started to do vertical pole handstands and started to lower my body more and more until i could do a flag.
yeah this is great and all, but first you got to develop and strengthen you stabliser muscles in and a round you core so they can take you bodies weight., other wise you just cant do what is shown in this video.. so how do you do that??? i mean obviously you'd do it with heavy free weights such as dumbbells and go from there but its tricky to exercise the right muscles for the job. suggestions from those who can actually can do what is shown in this particular video???
To match the music, you'd have to be battling a robot army in the night, with lightning flashing, a fallen samurai's sword in your hand and with three remaining grenades
weight training doesnt stunt a kids growth unless its pushed to the extreme, being a fat kid stunts a kids growth. so does pollution, lies in schools, and chemicals in our food water and toothpaste.
i'd say i was pretty strong, and can handle my body weight well with most exercises, but i doubt i can jump straight into this exercise like this guy and get it right straight away... any advice for anyone who really knows their stuff, on how to build myself up to this exercise, so i dont fall off straight away and get concussion :)
hey anyone, i was just wondering, im 15 years old, 120 pounds, and like 5foot 7inches. and you know how some people say working out at a young age like me can mess up your growth? well i was wondering if doing mostly bodyweight exercises, like these, pullups, chinups, hanging situps, etc. will that stuff slow my growth? and if anyones wondering, my dads about 6''2', and my moms about 5''7'.
it's mostly bullshit, ive been training since i was 14, and i havnt stopped growing i hit my growth spurt when i was 15. (however dont use heavy weights, that MAY stunt growth). and calisthenics(body weight exercises) definately won't stunt your growth, so i strongly recommend you start with them if you are concerned about it.
Hey I'mlike the same age, height & weight as you! I don't think training using your own body weight would stunt growth but stay away from heavy weights.
hard way to train them, if u have to learn from that chance u succeed are 1%...
way easier if u do ur flag vertically. 90°, then drop 1 leg, so your legs make 90° angle, and then add your 2nd leg, which is still vertical, if you master this you can begin training like it's said on this vid :)
so thats what does bars are for..we had some of those in my high school but i didn't know what they were for..i always saw the cheerleaders and the pride people hang their clothes in those..lol
Work on keeping your arms straight and locked and keeping your back straight. This will help you by not isolating any muscles and teaching everything to work together.
I'll be submitting my Ninja Warrior Entry Video to G4 TV around mid-December. They'll review it, then make it public in January, 2009 for the people to vote on it. If my video receives enough votes, they'll send me to Japan in March to compete. It all depends on whether I can get enough people to support me. I know that you're one of my fans, and I truly appreciate that. Thanks a ton.

Weightlifting does not stunt growth in any way. The bones were designed to handle stress like that. What do you think gravity does to your bones???

I'm 12, 157lb and 6'1 and I'm miles taller than my family but if you lift really heavy weights too early it can damage your muscle and bone growth.
