If Quebec builds the arena they keep talking about, the NHL will 100% put a team back there if they can. Right now, Hamilton is the most likely spot for the next team to go. They have a team, they have a ton of fans and it would create a crazy nasty rivalry with the Leafs.
Oh, and if the Coyotes have to move at the end of the season (probable) no other city currently has the necessary combination of arena (the old Colisée until the new one is built) and owner (Quebecor) that the QC has. QC at the end of this season will be in the same position Winnipeg was at the end of last season: a team has to move, and they'll be the only city with everything lined up.

@mrceebees14 The reason they're not in Hamilton right now is because Jim Ballsilie pissed off the NHL so much that the league preferred to buy the Coyotes and operate them themselves than see them get sold to Ballsilie. Don't get me wrong, Hamilton would be a terrific NHL city and would support a team very well, but for a variety of reasons (mostly political) they're not getting a team. And Copps is not NHL ready - it's a bare-bones structure that would require major renovations for the NHL.

When the Nordiques were there, it was the second smallest major league sports city in North America, only larger than Green Bay, Wisconsin. The difference between Quebec City and Green Bay is, that GB has the support of Milwaukee, a major city in Wisconsin. The only other major city in Quebec is Montreal. Obviously, they wouldent support the Nordiques. Sad to say, sports are a buisness anymore.
@rocker6666 Thanks man!! :) Your observation was indeed the main point of my documentary; the city of Quebec wants the team back really bad, however there are so many obstacles for them to overcome (such as the small size of their city), which makes the possible return of the Quebec Nordiques very uncertain!!

He has destroyed so much of the history of the game, trying to make it like the NBA. Hockey teams, in my opinion, dont belong in places like Florida or Anaheim. If I were NHL Commissioner, I would probably move the Ducks to Quebec, the Panters to Milwaukee, and Carolina to Seattle. Or something similar. Hockey doesnt do well in the American South.
@rocker6666 I don't know why you have an issue with the Ducks, they draw rather well actually, the ones you should be targeting are the Coyotes, Panthers, and Blue Jackets, Each game I watch I see scores of empty seats just as it was in Atlanta. Also Milwaukee won't work, Seattle doesn't have an NHL ready arena and is too close to Vancouver. I say Quebec City and Hamiliton are better locations to move a team.
WE have the Canadiens. Why do we need another franchise in Quebec? The political turmoil being whipped up by malcontents and instigators regarding Quebec separation and language issues are all factors which cast a pallor over any group being willing to invest in Quebec.
If we set aside our perceived isolationism, perhaps hockey will return to Quebec City. But those die-hard fans can still take pride in the Canadiens now.

In a gate-driven league that is the major factor. Quebec would do as well as Winnipag and would be more profitable than most U.S. teams. In hockey, small Canadian cities trump large U.S. cities in terms of revenues.

However, the "catch" was that WE chose what the project was gonna be, and because I love hockey and movies, I decided to combine both and make a documentary about hockey!! And I chose to talk about the Nordiques because I live in Quebec, so it's close to home!! :)
its a strong rumor that the Quebec Nordigues and the Winnipeg Jets are gonne return.... possibly the Atlanta Thrashers will move to Quebec, and the Phoenix Cioties could move to Winnipeg
