I have a slightly unrelated question that I'd really appreciate if you would answer. When you're learning a piece by ear (I suppose this one might count) how long does it usually take you to get it down? Also, do you find it easier to work out the melody of the whole piece first and then add in chords and background, or do you finish a small section, then move onto the next section and finish that one, and so on?
