  • @azkeyz kunji manual?

  • Are you blind she has great everything.

thats why I was afraid to click on this video because I thought it might be pornographic

After seeing it I need a cold shower and a kunji manual

  • yeah pictographix

  • arigato gozaimas :-)

  • If only you learned to speak japanese by watching anime :(

  • Again, another one who are interested in this Japanese culture & language ordeal

Alluna: why are you so much interested in learning such an Asian language when in fact you will forget all all of them after 10 years later...because you don't live in Japan nor do you have any friend who speaks Japanese....

Wouldn't it be more beneficial to you to learn French or Spanish, what a waste of time and effort..that's my opinion

  • やっぱり白人女性は至高です

    こんなに美しい女性は見たことがありません

  • That poor book looked like it had been mauled...

  • wow.wow.WOW!!!

  • damn....this is what happens when manga girls become real....hot!

  • I have LIVING LANGUAGE for Japanese, it's the traditional method not effective at all. the best in my view is the ASSIMIL method from France. Make a Google search under the keyword 'ASSIMIL'. Of course, what she said about advancing in your level with reading magazines and cultural books is all true, but you need to get there at first:)

  • yes beautiful but not wat i´m looking. bye

  • japanese capture and torture ordinary fishermen near senkaku islands, since the petroleum was discovered in the nearby islands. Japanese politicians always want to occupy the islands which is China's territory since 500 years ago.

Japanese kills whales and do not protect the near bio-diversity. This caused thousands of whales dies and become Japaneses' food to make sushi, causing the whale population in the pacifics has decreased significantly.

    Support, free senkaku!

  • Main-ga Jihn??? Your pronunciation is wack

  • kirei desu ne... ganbatteru matta yoroshiku onegaitashimasu.

  • wouldn't it be "watashi no name rain desu"

  • im not taking tips from someone that's not japanese...

  • @adJACEntful

Why not? You'd rather take tips on learning a language from someone whose method of learning japanese (gradual aquisition over a period of years during the formative period of infancy) you could never hope to replicate?

  • Wow, you look like a mermaid! Very pretty. :)

  • i cant hear this :(

  • Have you ever taken a class or do you recommend strictly learning from the books and tapes?

  • Are you a model!!!!!!!!!!!Your so sexy.

  • you're very photogenic but barely audible. Please re-record with a better mike.

  • i luv u so much can u teach nihongo japanese

  • who the hell has a cassett player

and you guys that wanna fuck every girl u see on youtube get a life

  • your face is... diffrent...

  • Hmmmm. Think I'm going to study with her.

  • damn I d love to have a teacher like her

  • damn......can U teach me? :)

  • good

  • THANKS from Egypt =)

  • すごい美人だなあ・・・・

    こんな友達がいればいいのに

  • omg can i have ur hair!!! its so beautiful :D

  • bytheway you are beautiful!!

  • 1) Your audio needs work

    2) You're stunning.

    3) Keep it the good work

  • or "Russian-go" :-P haha

  • You must be a fangirl, since you said "romanji", which isn't actually a japanese word. Anime fans like to insert the "n" into "ro-ma ji" (ローマ字), meaning, "Rome letters". Saying "Roman-ji" is just as awkward as saying "American-jin" or "French-jin", and I can't understand why it's become so accepted among otaku-folk.

  • You must know though that we aren't native Japanese speakers, and you must also know that our pronouncation is based on what we've heard (Teachers, or in this case animes). So, it's like non native english speakers will often mispronounce many english words, its the samething.

  • Parts one and two of this video are pretty good. I wish I had found this a couple years back. Unfortunately, I already know all the tricks to learn japanese fast (been learning it for couple years now).

Anyone wanting to learn, has to figure out their own way (everyone learns differently), but her idea of childrens books is a great step. :) If children can learn with those books, so can anyone who wishes to learn the language. ;)

  • For people that need a good fundamental base on Japanese, you can always try Rosetta Stone. Its a really good software that helps build a language learning base. It is quite expensive ~500$ US, but for those with money to spend this is quite a decent program.

(You can get it illegally but I won't say how to, by the way, I bought mine)

For those that want small previews/reviews head over to my channel, Im posting videos of Rosetta Stone there.

  • Photogenic da! furontoo mo utsukushii....

  • Ooo~This was helpful!

I picked up a book called Japanese DeMystified. It's pretty good and I find it really helps! ^__^

  • gorgeous

  • do people even own cassette players anymore? I haven't seen one in years.

  • Looks like you've got about one of everything! :)

I especially like Tezuka Osamu's manga because they're classic and there's a lot more writing in them than most newer manga.

Also a cool series is the Harry Potter books in Japanese. They level up each book with the first one having furigana for quite easy Kanji, but each one going up gets more difficult and leaves off the furigana for easier Kanji. It's a nice progression.

  • how to you say "I can't speak Japanese" in japanese

  • nihongo o hanashimasen.

  • thank you for answering

  • nihongo GA hanaSEmasen. Saying Nihongo o hanshimasen is like saying "I won't speak Japanese"

  • Ohh...Is that so...? So I should say " Watashi wa Nihongo ga hanasemasen" -- means I can't speak Japanese or I don't understand Japanese. Is this correct?

  • yep! :) You don't actually need to say "Watashi" because the I is implied (unless u are in a very formal situation in which case "watakushi" would be more appropriate)...Usually the phrase "Watashi wa" is used to show contrast between yourself and someone else kind of like "As for me, I am.....but he is......" (Watashi wa ......demo kare wa ......) To say "I don't understand Japanese" you would say "Nihongo ga wakarimasen" :)

  • This is useful information. I'm asking these because I will be going to Japan on May 7 for 2 weeks; We're invited by my wife's aunt. Thanks for your help.

  • hanasemasen or hanashimasen?

  • hanasemasen is the negative potential form meaning like "I can" hanashimasen means "I won't"

  • I don't understand japanese is "nihongo wakarimasen"

  • wouldn't it be nihongo o wakarimasen?

  • I think, 'cause "do you speak english" is "eigo o(somethin' I forgot what) masuka" I'm not sure, but yors does make more sense.

  • yea, "eigo o hanashimasuka?" is do you speak English?

  • [日本語が分かりません]のほうがいいですね。

  • i see, but whats the difference between saying nihongo ga wakarimasen and nihongo o wakarimasen?

  • Im just an italian student of nihongo.

so all I know is that is correct to say Nihongo GA Wakarimasen whilst isn't correct to say Nihongo O Wakarimasen.

Im not xpert but I think u can trust me :)

  • I know Ga marks subject n O marks object but its not correct I think 2say (name of a language)+(o)+(verb wakaru)

whilst is correct (name of a language)+(ga)+(verb wakaru)

    like dis: 日本語が分かるんだよ。

  • I think the particle 'wo' is an indication that the following verb is acting upon the preceeding noun.

So you are saying your lack of understanding is acting upon the japanese language. Which it isn't. So you use Ga instead.

    私はたまをけりました

    Watashi wa tama o kerimashita

    I kicked the ball.

Because the noun ball is acted upon by the verb kicked you use wo.

That is at least my understanding of the ga/wo situation. Could be more to it though.

  • Actually it is

    nihongo ga wakarimasen

  • i know that o is used for objects that are physical, but i also see ga being used for objects like places and names and stuff, so, it has to be literally physical?

  • This depends on the form of verb you are using. you can have passives and meiwaku verbs that use "ga" on an object. ie "sushi o taberu" (I) eat sushi. "sushi ga taberareta" The sushi was eaten (if there is a subject and you mark it with a "ni" it becomes meiwaku-form and means that someone ate all of your sushi and it affects you negatively, although the subject can be implied)

  • also there are words tadoushi and jidoushi (I don't know the english) ie "aku" and "akeru" (open) "doa o akeru" (I) open the door. "doa ga aku" the door opens (on it's own) there are a lot of words likes this, "hiyasu/hieru" (to cool) "hairu/ireru" (enter, put in) "herasu, heru" (decrease, shrink) "naosu/naoru" (fix, get better", "okiru/okosu" (get up, wake up)...anyways there are a LOT of these

  • sometimes o is used for politeness. as in o genki desu ka, you could leave out the o but sometimes its used in other ways

  • kawaii ^^

  • Ive heard people say dozo yoroshiko for nice to meet you? i thort it woz hajimaimashite for nice to meet you? im confused.just started learning..

  • Yoroshiku is untranslatable actually, it means something along the lines of be nice to me as I want to be nice to you. Hajimaimashite is more of we are meeting for the first time, and thats nice. Hope that helps

  • Rosetta Stone Cheapo!

  • L.O.L

  • i know japanese : RASENGAN!!....see??

  • ありがとう 子ちゃん

  • your look like raingiku matsomoto

  • u kute

  • kirei...

  • did u really read all that ? i have a bunch of japanese books too but i just never read it. lol . maybe thats why my japanese is not going anywhere huh ?

  • how'd u know?! lol

  • u still need to learn a lot of kanji. Just because u watch anime and manga and picked up some lines and words doesn't make u know how to speak Japanese. :V

  • Video was deleted pls write what things do u recomend in 1 st video .

  • i just watch thousands of anime episodes no exageration =D

by watching listening to japanese alot you get used to the speed and it easier to pick out words as opposed to the all blurring together which i found was a big problem when i started listening to actual japanese conversation.

  • yes the anime is clear and it helps alot!!!!!! but still there is kanji to learn. and katanaka and hirigana. im scared to try that. anime helps as far as language goes!

  • well other than zoning out trying to listen to the video, I Find the the Girl presenting the tips quite attractive!

  • lol monga...

  • uuuuuuuuuuuu

  • Konnichiwa! (Hello) I am trying to learn Japanese and I am 12. Do you have any good suggestions for learning Japanese at a young age? I am sorry. I just need to learn languages my mom says. Then I can go to Japan. I am reading manga. It is helpful.

  • OMG!! I am 12 too! I am into Japanese culture so I figured I would learn the language, teach it in either Canada where alot of Japanese people come, or go to Japan and teach ESL because Japanese people want to know english because most of the good jobs are in U.S.A. and Canada.

  • im a year older and im interested in going to japan some day. if you watch my only video on youtube i have alot of mistakes.i like japanese too. i think it would be a fun job also to be eaching esl in japan

  • THATS ALOT OF BOOKS!

  • You have great hair.

  • lol wow dude

  • Thanks for the tips!

also I suggest trying Rosetta Stone.

It's a bit pricy, but totally worth it!

I bought it for my siter so she could learn

    freanch, and it's really good.

Now i'm gonna buy it to learn japanese! ^-^

  • hha domo arigato i was takin notes the whole timee!

  • きれい

  • "きれい"

    Kirei = pretty

(lol, its fun deciphering these not so secret messages.)

  • my god, she's beautiful!

  • ぼく。あなた。ゆれ!!!

  • "ぼく。あなた。ゆれ!!!"

    Boku.Anata.Yure!!! (?)

    I (something) you?

I don't know what yure means but you better not mean Yaru....

  • Yes I meant Yaru but no I meant Her in the video not you. I don't know why I said it in a response though lol.

  • If you have the money, RosettaStone is amazing. The best way is to go to the country and learn like that. Study on your own too, but being thrown into a forien country and having no choice but to use the language everyday for basically everything is the best. Its a very stressful first year and a half, but its worth it.

  • Oki now, first to make this clear,I don't have anything against Japanese people nor the language(if u would think that). But how come so many Americans want to learn Japanese?? O.o

  • lots of ppl r anime fans and manga fans, and in manga tokyo has some cool stuff...and they thay have the effect like "itai" (it hurts) in manga thats just interesting..

  • Yea the whole anime craze makes people think they can learn Japanese. Although considering it's one of the hardest languages I'm sure 95%of them never get past learning what Kawaii means

  • Yeah,I know tons upon tons of people who r anime fans. They all "are learning" Japanese they say.Well,so many years have past still doesn't know what sushi is XD oh look!somebody gave me a thumb down even though I didn't say anything offensive!I should show this to my psychology teacher and I'll get and A+ cuz I've found a hostility that came outta imagination! :D

  • I am learning Japanese, and I will say that it is annoying whenever someone will say something like "Kawaii" or "Konnichiwa" and then will not have a damn clue on how to even respond back to what they said.

  • umm im soory but what does "kawaii"mean exactly?

  • Kawaii means "cute". Lots of teen girls will call everything kawaii, even purses, dogs, cars, anything.

  • there is something really special about japan- the culture, people and language that is soo different than other countries. many people learn the language because they want to better understand the culture and people.

personally, i think its such a beautiful language, especially when you dissect it, and begin to understand it.

its all aquired, you dont just wake up and say 'i want to learn japanese!'

actually, maybe there are people that do that... ?

  • I came here to learn some japanese, but this girl is distracting me ;D

    lol

  • onee san arigatou

  • people in hawaii do learn Jap. in Hwaii... i know 'cuz i used to live there.

  • i envy u guys who learns japanese couse u like it not like me forced to memorize it lmao...really.

  • 髪かわいいね(´σー`)

I read Tokyo Herald Tribune whitch is a firm company of NY Times so, I might find your articles in that!?

    おわり

  • Thanks a lot for the tips!

  • I've never understood what is the diference between Hiragana, Katakana and Romaji, is it the pronunciation? the symblos?

  • Hiragana is used for japanese words, while katakana is used to help japanese pronounce foreign words. Romaji is uses the roman alphabet, arigatou gozaimasu is romaji for ありがとうございます which is hiragana

But all of the kana is different symbols...but I think most of the pronunciation is the same between katakana and hiragana...but I don't have them memorized yet...

I am waiting for remembering the kana by James Heisig...which claims people can memorize each japanese alphabet in 3 hours

  • wat the fuck did u just say oh my god don't say shitt like that i fuckin hate racist people you stupid bitch there how do u like it im fuckin movin 2 japan so don't say shit about it OK

  • HA! Your name is "peace" and you're saying such stupid things?? HA

  • i can learn languages so quickly.

but the problem is that no one's teaching me.

now i can speak chinese a little 'coz of watching chinese dramas.

but learning japanese is so hard.

you can't learn just by watching animes.

  • but u can know the basics by watching anime like arigato and o genki desu ka

  • also japanese hentai mangas/visual novels if want to know words that they don't teach you in learning japanese books.

anyone know of any good japanese learning sites?

  • thejapanesepage(dot)com --that site is really helpfull

  • 美人さん発見!!!

  • I want you.

    But,I think no balance.

You look like a silver flame or an aurora.

  • >Byashukaku I mean she is fine. but I am not fine,so I can only admire her.maybe you are fine too.

  • Wow! Your hair is very pretty! I love japanese! Thanks for posting this video!

  • Thanks for the advise...... you are cute :)

  • Did you learn to speak Japanese by yourself? or someone actually teach you to speak the language? and how long did it take for you to study this language? Please reply because I'm desperate to learn this language!!! please!!!

  • Very...Energetic. =P

    Thanks for the advice.

  • love your hair

  • me 2

  • yes, me too :D

  • Good grief, she's recommending Living Language and some cheesy manga intro to Japanese? The fact that the "advanced" Living Language book contains romaji should show you the quality of her selections.

  • Haha first of all thanks for the tips and second of all, i fell aslee while watching this, i was just looking around at japanese stuff and you came on, you have a really pleasant voice, if thats not to weird to say XD

  • Thanks for the tips!

You're an attractive young woman. I really like your hairstyle.

  • Beautiful. I want to communicate with you. If you come to japan, please call me.

  • wow...you should set up a library for Japanese stuff O.o LOL!!Wow...I want those books. Thanks for the recomendations! x

  • your very pretty :)

    thanx for the tips

  • i love japanese clothing styles. it's hard getting the sentence pattern right.

  • I have the living Language set...though mine is not as old, it has CD's however I find that it commonly contains words in the coursebook that are not defined and can not be found in the included dictionary, if anyone knows I'm looking for a book with all the verbs and different conjugations (Like those that are commonly found for spanish) Please let me know if you have any suggestions, also it would be even better if it were a computer file or an audio file

  • 日本語の勉強、がんばってください。

    皆さん、日本に遊びに来てください。

    心から歓迎します。

  • えー~~~

    どうもありがとうね...^^

    日本語がまだ下手だから教えて下さい。

    ひらがなとかたかなは易しいけど, 漢字は一寸難しいと思います。

    今がんばれ~~~

Oh, by the way...thanks for the tip about reading manga....;P

I've been doing that for years...haha...

    Hmm.....

If you've got nice mangas to recommend, don't hesitate to tell me~~

  • hey, i think the correct way is 「難しいだと思います。」 with the verb だ in between. 頑張れ。

    btw, read Claymore.

  • Hmm....

    Sou da ne....^^

But when do you use "to omoimasu" alone?

I heard it was sumthing to do wif irregular adjectives....

    So confusing~

    Anyway...thx for enlightening me~

  • Nope, だshould not be there. Not that it's unnecessary; it is wrong.

    So your original was perfect,

except that 一寸 is way too formal, and should be written as ちょっと。(you see, it's not always the best idea to write Kanji for ALL the words.)

When learning Japanese, don't THINK. Imitation & practice is THE way.

    bye

  • Hmmm, let me think. Usually "-to omoimasu" will go in the end of a sentence like any verb in Japanese, and usually it goes paired with another verb (as in English 'I THINK you DID'). So you don't need the verb "da" (to be) when the main verb is another, e.g.: "ame ga futte iru to omoimasu" (i think it's raining). Ah, and another tip is, as you can see in the example, the verb before the "to" usually goes in its basic form without "-masu".

  • LOL, sparkbright. Shame you didn't direct that to just alluna, or it would have sounded sooo weird. "Asobi ni kite..." No thanks.

  • I could be madataory for everyone in all countries to have japanese, it would give a good understand of grammar.

  • where can u get them other than ebay?

  • I found the Living Language one at Borders...

  • I wish they have japanese language as my school

  • mine kinda did, it was an after school thing. a student there taught it

  • your so pretty

    and good tips!
