Bill Maher said that he does not support the majority of the views of Ron Paul. He only sees eye to eye on him with the end of the drug wars and the Iraq war but other than that he does not support him. Bill already says he will support Edwards.

Yes, Bill is a left-leaning Libertarian and Ron Paul is a right-leaning Libertarian.

I like both of them but my personal views are more closely in line with Ron Paul.

The North American Union will not destroy the US. It will make it better. Did all the EU coutries lose their sovereignty? I don't think so. I never like to use the word racist but Ron Paul is one. He wants to repeal the 14th amendment. Jus soli which allows anyone born on US soil to be citizens. He also wants to dismantle welfare and social programs.

Ron Paul is a danger to the stability of this nation. I agree with two issues of his but the consequences of electing Ron Paul outweight the benefits. He makes good points in ending the drug war and pulling our troops out. He is probably the only candidate that offers this but his immigration and abortion view scare me.

Well Ron Paul is a doctor so I can understand his pro-life viewpoint, in plus he's said his stance on this issue comes right from the constitution... the inalienable rights to LIFE, liberty and happiness. I don't agree with his policy on immigration, but if you only see two chinks in his armor how is that any worse than the other candidates?

Actually I was wrong but Dr. Paul. He would be a good president and is good in the foreign relations dept. But his domestic policies scare the crap out of me.

We need to help the poor. We are known as a country that does. Ron Paul also wants to weaken or dismantle the education dept. Ron Paul is a racist because he wants to close the borders and in addition he wants to repeal the 14th amendment. The 14th amendment gives citizenship to anyone born here. Repealing it would only give citizenship to a child born to two citizens.

So you're saying charity is the answer? Look don't be naive. I don't think a lot of people give money. Our government has an obligation to help those in need especially students. I owe a lot to the US government because of programs like FAFSA which helps people like me get into a university. I could have not gotten in to a university otherwise. I like the welfare and financial aid its very useful.

It's not the government's job to steal money from some people and loan it others. Financial institutons (who are competing for your business) should be doing that.

The republicans increased the funding to the federal education department and standards have measurably decreased. That should give us a hint.
