not reading any of the comments prior to posting this, this is pure early 00s highschool. i recently played this for several friends and all of them confessed that this was a part of their "highschool sweetheart" relationship. as was the entire punk goes 80s cd. but we will and should be... "FOREVER YOUNG"

I first downloaded this album back when I was in Junior High, because I was into all the Pop-Punk/Emo bands that covered the song. I stopped listening after my musical tastes changed. Eventually, I began to fall in love with 80's New Wave bands, and thus I came full circle, and began to listen to this album again.

Yes, covers are not carbon copies, but bands that originally sound like shit should stay as far away as they can from classics. Its a modern shame against the great bands from the past. This singer cannot hit the notes. Its a fact. He can't. He should have picked a different song to cover. Bands will make it further if they use their own talent and style to produce their own music that will flatter their abilities rather than make them sound like shit. One star, for sure.
