As far as I know it only works on Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles from the year 2000 on. So it won't work on a blazer (GM).
However, to make it work you push the trip mileage reset button in and hold it while turning the key to the on position. Do not start the vehicle when doing this or it won't work. After the diagnostics start you can release the button and enjoy.

how do you do this? i tried on my uncle's truck and my friends 1998 Chevy Blazer and it didn't work.
