iOS - Beautiful, fast, entertaining, semi-productive, most apps and games, and a few restrictions.

Symbian - Functional, decently sized app library, outdated.

BBOS - Functional, fast, great battery life, and productive.

WebOS - Beautiful, quick, decent apps, semi-productive, few bugs.

Android - Open source, very customizable, nice app library, semi-productive, some buggy behavior.

Microsoft strikes again - BORING! While the live tiles stuff is kinda cool, with all the outgoing and incoming data the battery life on this thing has gotta be abysmal. Most importantly I see nothing that would make me give up my Android phone.

@mwest28 I highly doubt it since Android is seen as slow and lacking in games. The iPhone is starting to be seen as boring. WP7 is a good OS in the middle of both.

@mwest28 debating marketshare is useless as well. Blackberry OS is projected to lose most of its marketshare with both enterprise and social users and It's currently on top in terms of marketshare. Smartphone users are projected to double within the next two years so why would a incredible OS like wp7 have a chance at failing?

Android is the most popular right now outselling both the other Os's everyday but Google hasn't surpassed them overall in the US. This is according to nielsenwire 10/5/10. Kin failed due to smartphone data plans and is relaunching this holiday season possibly without the data plan. WP7 appeals to a broad audience with MS Office, Zune and Xbox Live as stock apps. I don't see how it could fail.
