Its really based on perspective i guess. And the way i see it is...understand the difference between the two (freerunning and parkour) and then ultimately realize they are one.

Parkour is supposed to be purely non competitive that's one of the things that defines what it is so for someone outside of that world to come along and call something a "parkour competition" is like a slap in the face to the practitioners.

@tommarjuki if you ask any of the competitors.. including me that competed in this event.. if they were doing "parkour and or free running" everyone would say no.. we are expressing ourselves through MOVEMENT.. movement is its own definition.. and we were not competing against eachother.. it was simply us against the course and OURSELVES.. and we clearly stated where EVERYONE knew that.. how is that a slap in the face to practitioners? we ourselves are practitioners...

They call bboy battles breakdancing battles, it's just misinformation. More to the point though, obviously you live freerunning and that's dope i respect anyone who has a passion for movement but from my perspective and what i see i'd still say this was freerunning. Respect for what you do this is just my opinion, peace.
