I Gotta admit this game isn't as bad as one says sure the physics and driving is sluggish but it is fun to play the cars the levels the Graphics is OK but overall its nice the way you can either race lap through lap kill hordes of zombies of kill every racing opponent. overall this game is average at best.

The ending sucks tho.

This game is not as bad as what people say it is, yeah the car control was worse then CII on the PC, yeah the physics are a bit worse then the PC version, yeah you hit zombies with green blood instead of people with red blood. I can also almost bet that most of Carmageddon 64s issues can be fixed with a gameshark pro version 3.0-3.3 (and maybe earlier versions) using its built in tools, its just that no one has seen fit to even try to redeem it using a GS pro.

PC version of it was way better, especially the MAX PAK collection. No zombies, just lots of people to kill and plenty of blood to spill. Good wholesome cursing and blood slicks. There were times I actually had to chase people down to run them over... that was fun... bwah ha ha haaa. Nightmares anyone?

I liked the game, even though it had bad graphics and all, I just liked driving over zombies :D but sometimes my 2 player didn't work and I had to restart my Nintendo. One time I unlocked a stage with loopings! But there was a time limit and I had to start over again I think, but I lost it the next day cause I didn't have a memory card/pack.

titus ruined one of interplay's best games. for 1998 carmageddon's graphics on pc were cutting-edge (even if pedestrians still looked like scarecrows), and was twistedly funny and a ton of fun to play. then titus put square tires on the cars and turned everyone into zombies in case americans got a sudden urge of road rage after mowing down a bunch of 1's and 0's disguised as people. what a lame epilogue, too

I used to own it, and beat it as a kid. It's far from unplayable. The problem is most people who play it don't actually understand the controls. It's not that hard of a game. It does have challenge but it's not close to impossible. You have to know what the icons at the top of the screen do, like warping, you have to know how to run, etc. It actually paved the way for a lot of later games and had a lot of firsts, like first opening screen, first ending in a game, etc.
