@willywile After taking a look around The song is called Pantera Rise and it came out the same year 1992 I thought they might have copied their guitaring. But its probably because the music industry (at least the big names) are controlled. BTW I never even heard this song until somewhat recently ( within last 10 years) seems like the radio stations started trying to promote it (kinda late in the game) and when it came on I always thought cool some Pantera LOL. good song tho!!!!!!!!

@brand0 - yeah man they were totally a big influence to many bands - from Sepultura to Silverchair - Personally I loved the album Aftertaste but Meantime sonically is pretty awesome and influential. Also, before them there were really no HEAVY bands with short hair cuts, and simple clothing (not that that matters) but I guess they made HEAVY be something other than what stereotypically and visually people think of when it comes to heavy music... my two cents
