  • @dreadnought631:

i will - if you check out mine! ;)

  • watch my vids

  • @gearshotgun it's if you loose 75% not loose 25%

  • lol they're watching Matrix Reloaded ^_^

  • Can't be bothered to watch this vid when the players can't be bothered to paint their models...

  • I heard the new necron codex is taking away "phase out" but also "we'll be back" i'm glad there taking out the rule that says "if you lose instantly if 25% of your guys die" but i think its a bit controversial to take out the rule that lets the undead guys come back, but the whole army is also getting "Feel no pain" so i guess we'll have to wait and see

  • classic... shooty army old book versus shooty army old book. I got some vids ill post my tau ones for you guys soon

  • love the music

  • fantastic Battle report! Seriouasly guys I reckon you do better Bat Reps than Miniwargamming. And they do very good Bat Reps. Also the epic music is also a very nice touch!

  • Kroot on necrons? this tau player needs to learn about necrons some more... Kroot can not kill any necron in close combat or shooting, i know this cuse i played tau vs necrons, 40 kroot against 4 necron destroyers...i lost

  • is tau just warhammer or is it 40k

  • Norskar ska inte spela Wh40k!

  • Take me down to the PARADISE CITY!!!!

  • epic even though i have a deciever any advice ? i just starting

  • Ni talar Norska!!!

  • necron should use more scarabs

  • LOL min 4:30

  • @Tejursuy I have that as well when i was playing my Necrons but i had Seven 1's

  • hvorfor har ikke broadsiderne dine base?????????

  • Just wanted to say, your editing style with cutting to dice rolls and results kept the battle feeling fast-paced when watching, unlike other videos where they just show photos or tell us results at the end of a turn. This is much more engaging.

  • Always enforce that Phase-Out ;)

  • im gunna like this vid cause i can hear the matrix reloaded in the background

  • Why did he shoot at the deceiver? he was miles away and could never have claimed the objective. And those heavy destroyers sure can blow stuff up!

  • hahahaha norkar ! :D

  • Im new to 40k, and im wondering... What is a standard point total for like a tournament... or all around normal, 1500? 1750? Please message back, it would be much appreciated.

  • @Solektras where I live we always do tournaments with 1500 points and in rare occasions with 1750, and I think thats the most common choice, even in the rulebook says so

  • you should check out the Tau hit and run tactic by beasts of war, it's actually pretty funny.

  • Great battle report, easy to follow and actually exciting to watch.

  • Nice but I don´t understand the game rule^^

  • This is amazingly well done.

  • NECRON MONOLITH WOULD HAVE HELPED ALOT

  • Oh FUCK. Three ones at once. Ouch.

  • Triple 1s when rolling for il be back is just hillarious!

  • Tau spilleren skulle ha shield drones :) de er nok den bedste tingen en unit crisis (og alt andet) kan ha.

husker dere å allocere wounds? jeg har ikke set dere har gjort det men det har vidst ikke vært en anledning allikevel

  • The Tau player should of taken the hill which would of given him cover on each mound

  • nice game i enjoyed watching it and glory to all necrons lol

  • dam I was hoping tau would win...=/

  • this was poor tactics by the tau player he should ev pressed harder for the objectives, and tried assaulting the kroot not shooting they're ment to be a tie up unit not a ranged unit.

  • Kroot are not a tie-up unit in 5th edition. With T3, Sv6+ and Ld7 they will fall to almost any opponent after the first round of combat, even Necrons. They can be used for three things: A distraction. Laying low on an objective in cover. Or bubble wrap for Broadsides.

PS: It was very much luck that gave the Necrons the victory, not my stellar tactics.

  • @jonaslep then why not spend the points on something more useful like fire worriors or more broadsides? something that if u are going to shoot with them then make them better no ?

  • @jonaslep You could use them to cut up some weaker units though.

  • @blasterdude3 partly, i agree. You should most definately take Pulse RIFLES. with a poor BS of 3, you usually wont achieve much with carbines unless you have markerlights. a full squad of rifles can lay down 20 Strength 5 shots at 12 inches

compared to only 6 inches more with only 10 shots

  • @blasterdude3 My friend plays Tau and doesn't even use Kroot. He plays a battle suit army, using battle suits in all of the categories except for the necessary troops choice (fire warriors). Typically, enemy tanks don't stand a chance against his army.

  • how many point was it and nice 5

  • The game was 1500 points, details are in the video description.

  • how do you do battle reports? like how do you make them?

  • Well, I could talk about that all day, but in short I:

1: Take a lot of video from a game

2: Import the video into my video editing software

3: Edit the clips so that the video will be interesting to watch

4: Insert music where we don´t speak to the viewers

5: Insert text to explain what´s going on

    6: Export video

    7: Upload video to YouTube

    Hope that helps! :)

  • @jonaslep

no no i dont mean the video. i mean the actual battle report.. if thats what its called. i mean the battle in the video.

  • Hm, I'm confused. Do you mean how we play the game? We play Warhammer 40k normally, dude. I just whip out the camera when something interesting is about to happen and tape it.

Or am I misunderstanding your question?

  • @jonaslep what i was trying to say was, were do you get the minatures and the map?

  • Oh, ok. The game is called "Warhammer 40.000", and is made by a company called Games Workshop.

You can buy the miniatures and rulebooks you'll need to play at any of their stores or on their webshop.

We made the board we are playing on ourselves.

  • yeah i know the name of the game. i have dark crusade. thanks :P

  • No problem, dude :P

  • well done battle report

  • nice game!!!

  • Vi holder til i Oslo. Hvis du skal innom byen og vil spille litt, er det bare å ta turen innom Oslo Miniatyrspillklubb - Åpent hver søndag. Sjekk 2d6 punktum no

  • You don't need to check the line of sight for shots on the C'tans, as they float above the battlefield, anyone with the range can hit them from anywhere.

  • so other than warriors now costing 20, and fields costing 1, what does 5e do to necrons?

  • Uhm, I don't know where you got the idea that Warriors are 20 points apiece, but that's simply wrong, dude.

Necrons are hurt on close combat resolution and sweeping advance. To mitigate this, they need to play very differently to the successful phalanx tactic of 4th. A zealous focus on the mission played is pretty much the only way to victory, as they will have difficulties against pretty much anything with any CC ability. I won this game 1-0 by assaulting with Destroyers and being lucky.

  • Probably from the 2 points for Disruption fields. Just my guess though.

  • This is all the information my local manager told me but he said there was going to be some 'suprises'.

    - Flayed Ones changing to Troop (plastic)

    - Immortals changed to plastic

    - Pariahs changed to plastic

    - New Lord choices

    - Jetbike models are being updated.

    - Monolith is going up in points.

    - C'tans are moving to Apocalypse only.

That's all the definates I got, but he implied that there would be at least one new unit entirely.

  • what about the tau

  • I don't play Tau, so I have no idea sorry.

  • I've heard rumors about plastic wraith as well, wich would be a very welcome addition.

  • @samrtk So I don't understand, I'm a beginner, if I buy a C'tan I can only use it in what?

  • @BlessMySocks. You can use it in any game at the moment, but don't waste your money right now on one, as GW are taking them to Apocalypse games only in the next codex.

Are you just starting with Necrons now?

  • @BlessMySocks l am a begginer as well l have bought a necron load and l squad of necron warriors next l will buy a 4 flayed ones 1 warith and 1 destroyer

  • itpritty good nah

  • these guys are from norway1 like me.. yeah!! glad to see that other people play 40k

  • Cheers, I couldnt work out where from, was even thinking japanese, especially with the Hiro (Heroes) celebration 'yahoo!'

  • Wonderful battle report, much better than when people talk for it....

seriously, very good, I enjoyed this

  • Guns are Roses I hear! Very exciting video.

  • Great batrep !! Very dynamic, no useless bullshit - pure action ^^

  • close game! :P

  • master plan= focus fire on one thing lol

  • nice game

  • i just heard alotb about taus getting caugth and nearly executed. then the message comes "if tau kills this unit they will win" haha xD

  • i love that 'the matrix' is playing in the background

  • Damn!!!!!

  • come on tau.

  • How do you play Tau in 5th edition? Idk it seems like fire warriors are fail compared to the mech / deepstrike / outflank etc, I like the idea of shooting 30" and transporting away to keep doing that but is that how you play?

  • I'm still new to the 40k universe. 5th ed is my 1st ed, so I pretty much play Tau the way I feel suits me. But you are not the first to hint of FW shooting at 30" and transporting away, so I may have to try it out.

My intension for FW is to get in the pathfinders devilfishes, and use them to claim objectives in the end game. Hopefully they can kill something before that. My FW always have bonding knife, so they can always regroup. But I haven't played enough games to tell if that's a good idea.

  • less fire warriors more warfish and more railguns

  • Warfish?

  • a devilfish wish upgrades making it more like a tank than an APC (Smart missile system , Multi tracker and Targetting array)

  • indeed

  • i know that tau specialize in ranged combat and sort of armour, but how bout necrons? what's there ups and downs?

  • they can get back up after killed(except for instant kills and p-weps) all necs weps can glance any vehicle, very expensive army. no transports except for mono(but very expensive)

  • If you lose 25% you phase out and lose

  • Make that 75% lost

  • They can get up from Instant's and P-weps. It's called a Resurrection Orb.

  • Comment removed

  • good batle report

  • go necrons

  • Cant the Tau only have one of these in a battle: Airbursting Fragmentation Projector, Cycling Ion Blaster

  • They can have one of each of the "Special issue" wargear items in an army. Taking the Airbursting Fragmentation Projector does not exclude the Tau from taking other special issue weaponry.

  • for anti necron i use this

    +Shas el

    plasma + ionic

    2 shield drones

    shield

    +2 bodyguard each with

    twin linked plasmas

    targetting arrays

    2 gun drones each

  • the tau dont do well when the necron have a lot of destroyers rather then monoliths and HQ

  • yesterday i annihilated some necrons with my eldar they just couldn't beat my 2 wraithlords.

  • it could have been a very different story if the hammerhead had survived, did it have a disruption pod? there only 5 points for a cover save :/

  • Norau takes Disruption Pods on all his vehicles.

I just got really lucky with the first shot of the game. I hit, penetrated, he failed the cover save, and I rolled a 5 for damage.

  • damn thats unlucky. Necrons are great against tau supposedly as every weapon in their arnel can glance a 'fish or hammerhead on a 6, but my tau havent play'd them yet

  • necron are still deadly. they wipe out my tau easiy.

  • Great video

  • best battle report on youtube

  • Great battle report, enjoyed it alot!

  • Thanks, man!

That means a lot, coming from the Fritz ;-)

  • 3 ONES!!!

  • do a lot of people use the necrons?

  • oh yes this is by far the best battle report

  • The master plan is really the main plan that works against 'crons. The Tau player should have just killed your two troop choices. This would have made it near impossible for you to win.

  • Yep, that would work perfectly. Fortunately for me, the Deceiver worked perfectly as a fire magnet for the first few turns.

  • IMO, you should have used A nightbringer. If that gets close, it does more damage than the Deceiver.

  • @legionthantos But the deciever only suffers from one less attack really, and you get nifty powers, can get a chance to make fearless units run, and its 60 Points CHEAPER.

  • Note the IMO bit. IMO, The nightbringer's better.

  • I just realized it sounded like I was yelling. I wasn't, sorry. :) It was simply my own views. I have to admit, the Nightbringer looks much better...

  • Very very good Batle report!, one of the best I've seen!

Was fun to watch and suspenseful! =) 5*

  • Awesome stuff, keep them coming please. I have yet to play against necrons in 5th but I've heard they just can't win anymore don't really understand why. Can any one shed some light on that subject?

  • The gauss rule is worse, and since 5th ed makes tanks much more powerful the Necrons one tank is a little slim on the tanks. Also, the monolith is gimped by the new DS rules.

  • Ok I see what you mean, I like the look of the models so I hope they get an update by the end of 2009 to keep them competitive.

  • nice game
