well, he doesnt have a good or bad side, in terminator 1, his mission was to kill sara conner and he was send by skynet (the program that runs the machines), in part 2 he is send to defend john conner from the T1000 which is send by skynet to kill john, and john send him so he was ''good'' in that part. In the third part (which was just shameful) he was send by john's wife, (forgot her name) to protect johns generals and john from TX (anti-terminator-terminator)
