We lived in Sacramento for about 8 years and can't say I would recommend it. You're surrounded by ghetto just about everywhere you go. Try going for a relaxing day at Discovery Park at the beach and you have about 1000 morons in boats sitting out on the river blasting 50 cent. SUVs with spinner rims everywhere. Piss poor school system. The summers are miserably hot. Nothing to do. Oh and if it weren't for 150 year old levies the entire city would be a swamp from Oct - June. Glad we moved.

@jpete3027666 I highly disagree with you. Sacramento/ Elk Grove is one of the most diverse cities around. Its is a great place to live because you are surrounded by different cultures and people. Midtown and Downtown Sac is really the best though; the food, shopping, people make it so much fun. The architecture that make up those areas are really beautiful to look at as well. I've been here since I was born, and I still love how things are evolving.
