I don't believe that there is such a thing as "bad" foods. What is important is portion size. It's the portions we consume that make us feel that certain foods are bad, because they are more than likely to be the reason for our weight gain.
If we can control our portions and have a vast majority of different colored foods, you'll be set!

I'm sure she wasn't trying to make it seem like that, but sometimes it's harder to think of other sizes as normal when you haven't lived with being bigger than a 00 to a 4. We are all different and have grown differently. Perceptions are influenced by life experiences. To each their own. :)

@gaupaenazul it's because you're going through a withdrawal! your body becomes so used to the chemicals in the sugar that it responds negatively when you cut it out. start gradually! eventually you will feel a whole lot better.
You're not a trained certified dietitian so you should tell ppl that this is only for your experience and that ppl should consult their doctor. Not everyone is a size 2-3 and don't have your metabolism.
More importantly than weight loss, my skin looks awesome, my body feels ready for exercise whenever, and my mind feels clear. I've also stopped getting sick. :)
@CandiedCloverFlowers Yeah I so agree with you b4 when i ate stuff from tins, frozen meals, fast food on breaks and take aways etc, my energy was like 0. I can now do 1-2hrs per day. i now have started to eat breakfast wholegrains only, bring fruits/ yoghurt and a sandwich to work and cook a healthy meal when im home. water low fat milk and diet drinks (in moderation) and multi vitamin juices. to snack i would eat seeds/ prunes/ fruit/ crispbread with a low fat spread ie Philadelphia extra light

I've been moving toward this kind of eating for a long time and after reading his book I finally took the plunge and feel better than ever. @horseridinggrl54 actually that is the average size for adult women, size 2-3 for a 5-3 to 5-5 is not extremely skinny, it 's a slender girl. Society will dictate to us what is normal until we realize 4 our selves what is normal or that there is no normal. Skinny is what is desired. If is wasn't vogue & the other media would change their Idea of beauty. A friend "use" model, she stopped because she was told daily she was a little on the chunky side, she is 5-10 & weighed 115 & wears a size 5.
@strawberryypandaa Uh, no, size has nothing to do with how healthy you are. I'm a size 14, and eat very healthfully, yet my size 3 friend eats nothing but mcdonalds and is a stick. It's all about genetics and how you're born. I agree people should care more about their health and it's a problem in America, but health should not determine size, at all. Plus, I'm 5'10, so if I was a size 2, i'd look like a holocaust victim. All just depends on your body.

@strawberryypandaa People get fat because they don't know how to control their portions and their temptations to over eat. There are a lot of overweight and obese girls out there, but a size 10,11, or 12 doesn't mean somebody is fat. I'm a size 12 but I have a wide pelvic bone. It runs in the Hungarian side of my family!
We are all made differently and have different shapes and sizes, some have smaller frames, such as yourself and some have naturally larger frames, like me!

I had a thought, because this happened to me, and also to a couple of my friends. Are you vegetarian? Because you could be anemic, or almost anemic, and that could be why you are sick constantly. If not, just ignore me haha.

@majestamassacre of course junk food is unhealthy! that's why it's junk. Try eating some complex carbohydrates with every meal (whole grains, brown rice, potato etc. ) in addition to protein and vegetables with every meal. Try to eat often with smaller portions.

wow. i never knew. IM JUST A GIRL! not a women. i sometimes skip breakfast and lunch but sometimes dinner and skip to treats. O_o so i dont have food the whole day. but i dont get hungry. WEIRD.
@iluvpancakesh actually your metabolism has probably just shut down because you're not eating so you don't get hungry. If your metabolism is healthy and you're eating an appropriate amount, you'll feel satisfied then hungry again in a few hours.

I eat like crap & im trying to gain but that's not happening cause I'm naturally a size 0. I stopped drinking soda for almost a year and now it doesn't attract me anymore and I feel better , I really like chocolate but I eat a little in the morning , I started to eat only fish and chicken but I really don't like meat that much,I eat only for my parents

@blueheartz97 do light exercises, like walks (if that doesn't bother you). :-) movement is all thats important you don't have to workout hardcore to see results :-)

@milcahmae03 talk to a dietitian if you're serious about gaining weight in a healthy way. Including complex carbohydrates with every meal is a smart idea. But make sure you're also getting adequate protein and nutrients from vegetables as well. Working out and challenging your body with resistance training will also help you gain lean body mass and weight.
@ForeverYours0727 If you R getting sick more than U think U should, it is probably : U R not getting enough sleep ( body needs time to heal), Your foods R not giving U the Vitamins U need to stay protected& your vitamins R inadequate or not a match 4 what U need., U r under more stress than U recognize ( it too can break the immune system down) U r exposing your self repeatedly to air system that is fostering germs ( gym you house etc) Start there, have your doc do a full blood test, good luck!
@kittykrave try to be aware of the calories you eat without being obsessive about them. It just isn't necessary :-) I was reading an article in a magazine the other day about what nutritionists eat in their daily lives and their calorie counts were pretty high actually, but from very healthy foods.
I personally try to keep my calories under 2,000, but I estimate :-)
lol i feel so bad when people are like 'im really bad with ice cream, i eat it like once a week at least. Hell I can eat icecream every day and I'll never gain weight lol
It;s super important to stay healthy, thats the reason i;m building a Organic Food Forrest. so that me and my familie can atleast eat healthy. Because the things you mention are absolutely true, but i would mention a few other things aswel. For example Never ever drink aspartame! Or watch out for food with MSG in it.
also when you buy bottled water please check if there is any fluoride in it. Fluoride aspartame MSG Destroys your body... Research it!

@Terixi 200 calories in a serving ( 2 tablespoons) and it is high in fat, but most of it is good fat. If you check out my channel I did a video all about peanut butter :-)

hey thx for all the tips! i have a tip for u know!! when u drink out of bottled water, the plastic from the bottle gets "absorbed" by the water and its just like microwaving food with plastic wrapping on it. also u can tell if the water smells wierd. one more thing! wen u get water from the tap and there is always clorine in it, the clorine is there to kill living bacteria AKA: us! so thats not good for us and thats why we have those folters to pt on the tap. sry its so long but hope it helps!!!
About an hour ago or so I ate a crap load of hobnob biscuits which have chocolate in the middle then I checked the nutrition guide. Each one contained 11% of your saturated fat content or something. X(

I'm sorry, but this girl seems so full of herself. @horseridinggrl54 actually that is the average size for adult women, size 2-3 for a 5-3 to 5-5 is not extremely skinny, it 's a slender girl. Society will dictate to us what is normal until we realize 4 our selves what is normal or that there is no normal. Skinny is what is desired. If is wasn't vogue & the other media would change their Idea of beauty. A friend "use" model, she stopped because she was told daily she was a little on the chunky side, she is 5-10 & weighed 115 & wears a size 5.

@strawberryypandaa Uh, no, size has nothing to do with how healthy you are. I'm a size 14, and eat very healthfully, yet my size 3 friend eats nothing but mcdonalds and is a stick. It's all about genetics and how you're born. I agree people should care more about their health and it's a problem in America, but health should not determine size, at all. Plus, I'm 5'10, so if I was a size 2, i'd look like a holocaust victim. All just depends on your body.

@strawberryypandaa People get fat because they don't know how to control their portions and their temptations to over eat. There are a lot of overweight and obese girls out there, but a size 10,11, or 12 doesn't mean somebody is fat. I'm a size 12 but I have a wide pelvic bone. It runs in the Hungarian side of my family!
We are all made differently and have different shapes and sizes, some have smaller frames, such as yourself and some have naturally larger frames, like me!

I had a thought, because this happened to me, and also to a couple of my friends. Are you vegetarian? Because you could be anemic, or almost anemic, and that could be why you are sick constantly. If not, just ignore me haha.

@majestamassacre of course junk food is unhealthy! that's why it's junk. Try eating some complex carbohydrates with every meal (whole grains, brown rice, potato etc. ) in addition to protein and vegetables with every meal. Try to eat often with smaller portions.

wow. i never knew. IM JUST A GIRL! not a women. i sometimes skip breakfast and lunch but sometimes dinner and skip to treats. O_o so i dont have food the whole day. but i dont get hungry. WEIRD.

@iluvpancakesh actually your metabolism has probably just shut down because you're not eating so you don't get hungry. If your metabolism is healthy and you're eating an appropriate amount, you'll feel satisfied then hungry again in a few hours.

I eat like crap & im trying to gain but that's not happening cause I'm naturally a size 0. Plus i'm a runner :( So all of you complaining about being "big" be glad cause the only reason people bother u is cause they're jealous of your curves. Trust me being skinny = almost as flat as a board. So be HAPPY ;)

I stopped drinking soda for almost a year and now it doesn't attract me anymore and I feel better , I really like chocolate but I eat a little in the morning , I started to eat only fish and chicken but I really don't like meat that much,I eat only for my parents

@milcahmae03 talk to a dietitian if you're serious about gaining weight in a healthy way. Including complex carbohydrates with every meal is a smart idea. But make sure you're also getting adequate protein and nutrients from vegetables as well. Working out and challenging your body with resistance training will also help you gain lean body mass and weight.

@ForeverYours0727 If you R getting sick more than U think U should, it is probably : U R not getting enough sleep ( body needs time to heal), Your foods R not giving U the Vitamins U need to stay protected& your vitamins R inadequate or not a match 4 what U need., U r under more stress than U recognize ( it too can break the immune system down) U r exposing your self repeatedly to air system that is fostering germs ( gym you house etc) Start there, have your doc do a full blood test, good luck!

@kittykrave try to be aware of the calories you eat without being obsessive about them. It just isn't necessary :-) I was reading an article in a magazine the other day about what nutritionists eat in their daily lives and their calorie counts were pretty high actually, but from very healthy foods.
I personally try to keep my calories under 2,000, but I estimate :-)

It;s super important to stay healthy, thats the reason i;m building a Organic Food Forrest. so that me and my familie can atleast eat healthy. Because the things you mention are absolutely true, but i would mention a few other things aswel. For example Never ever drink aspartame! Or watch out for food with MSG in it.
also when you buy bottled water please check if there is any fluoride in it. Fluoride aspartame MSG Destroys your body... Research it!

@Terixi 200 calories in a serving ( 2 tablespoons) and it is high in fat, but most of it is good fat. If you check out my channel I did a video all about peanut butter :-)

I avoid all fast foods . I eat fruits and veggies . I also eat whole grain bread and what not I also have a chewy bar before school while I'm walking . So yeah I'm 14 5"3 and I weigh 100 maybe 102 pounds

hey thx for all the tips! i have a tip for u know!! when u drink out of bottled water, the plastic from the bottle gets "absorbed" by the water and its just like microwaving food with plastic wrapping on it. also u can tell if the water smells wierd. one more thing! wen u get water from the tap and there is always clorine in it, the clorine is there to kill living bacteria AKA: us! so thats not good for us and thats why we have those folters to pt on the tap. sry its so long but hope it helps!!!

About an hour ago or so I ate a crap load of hobnob biscuits which have chocolate in the middle then I checked the nutrition guide. Each one contained 11% of your saturated fat content or something. X(
