Her hair is beautiful. I am currently loc'd and my 10 yr old says she wants locs but I am still on the fence about starting them, in fear that she will changer her mind. What method did you use too start your daughter's locs?

@thewallaces2006 comb coils...if she wants it let her try it you can always take it out or cut it if necessary. It's only hair. At their age their hair grows so fast.

@CasmaLi right now i'm using some vo5 clarifying shampoo & conditioner normally i use dr. bronner's to wash but was low on funds so bought the cheap stuff. I use queen helene pink styling gel to retwist and a natural oil of some sort to moisturize. nothing fancy.

BEAUTIUFL sis!!! I know I've told you a million times how beautiful her hair looks and of course, you've done an amazing job. I loc'd my daughter's (12yrs) old hair last year but she was VERY unhappy with them so I took them out after 6 months. I really was not happy with her decision but soon after I took them down she was back to her cheerful self.  Has ur daughter at any time expressed that she'd like to take them down at some point? Happy days to you and your girls in the new Year. Hotep

@chamogul Occasionally she says she doesn't remember what her loose hair looks and feels like but says she doesn't want to take her locks out because it would take a long time to get them back. I will take them out in the future if she wants. But she is very happy with her hair.

@xineotheoneix This is true but lil' T has already told me she doesn't want them too long. I guess in the next three years we will trim them to keep them @ a managable length where she can still be active without her hair getting in the way.
