  • I really like the way Bob from Desire A Difference explains Wordpress. His explanation is always easy to follow and I've learned much of what I know about Wordpress from Bob's Video Training series. This is a must watch if you're looking for a simple yet thorough explanation of how to use Wordpress.

  • Cool! Thx :)

  • cool video !

  • Military time? lol

  • @teddihtraining Hey....good for those military persons wanting a WordPress website for other military peeps out there.

  • I have a stupid question but I am new :) I Have done my blog following your tutorial step by step.

    I simply want to have A blog page where will appear everything that I have posted recently,and two more (Video , Old Posts) where I will Move my old post and Videos in order my Blog page not to become a "nightmare scrolling" .. please help me :)

  • @stefan4obos I have not explained what i mean correct. I mean that after creating this two "new pages" and adding them with the "menu wordpress bar" I tried to Move two of my videos to "My Videos Page" but instead of having two different Videos with comments and everything , I have them in one post ... Sorry for my bad English :(

  • Is it possible to create multiple taglines in order to enhance SEO but have only one of them actually visible on the website (to avoid excessive clutter)?

  • @waysav No. What you can do is gather your list of keywords that you want to utilize site wide, install an SEO plugin that will allow you to put custom SEO on each page / post, utilize those site wide keywords and put in individual keywords that correspond with your page / post. Remember, keep your title & description withing the character limits of Google and when you're thinking about keywords, think in the mind of the person who would look for your content. Use individual / phrases as well

  • you should really add in this tutorial how important it is NOT to change the wordpress and website addresses. Everything else on that page can be edited at will, but change even a letter of the addresses, and you're locked out of the website. the process to get back in is very complicated for a beginner like me. wordpress and your tutorial should warn people that those lines should NOT be changed unless you know what you're doing.

  • @kaliso21 I will freely admit that I didn't take that into consideration and yes, changing the WordPress and website addresses can be a very treacherous thing to do for a beginner. On my next batch of tutorials, I will address this. Thx for bringing that to my attention.

  • Thanks for the reply. do you mean this.  }

  • @wnvsystems No, but it should be in that area. Like I said, I don't know your keyboard layout. You may just have to open up Notepad and test it until you get this: | (not a "1" or "l" (letter lowercase l) or an I (letter uppercase i)). It won't be a letter / number, but a symbol.

  • how do you get the vertical pipe.?

  • @wnvsystems Different keyboards will have it in different spots. On mine, it's located just below the "Backspace" key. It will have a backward slash below it and the "pipe" will look like two broken vertical lines.

  • Never mind. I signed out, then signed in and it appeared! You are SO helpful!

  • Never mind. I signed out, then signed in and it appeared!

  • I changed my tagline, pressed SAVE CHANGES, but did not see anywhere either on my blog site or in the top of my screen that "took" those changes. What should I do?
