Wow its beautiful. The Music is fantastic as well! It was kinda confusing at first, because I wasn't sure what was happening until I realised it was going backwards. I dont do directing, but maybe it would have been better to somehow link the scenes like they did in memento. But then again its probably pretty hard to do that in a short. The only thing that linked it was the planes, but for a second I thought it was just different people with the same interest in flying haha

When he was a kid he crashed his plane and starting playing as a doctor, the audience is left to assume that some time before the fatal flight he decided he would rather take a job as a Paramedic, probably before, or as a result of his wife breaking up with him.

Its not before the crash or due the divorce.

Its a coinflip decision made as a child, Colin illustrates what a choise made decades ago, could result in. tracking back trough the pilot line. You're shown the outcome of the of both choices when they come together. one resulting in death the other in life.

@Rsteenoven you have probably seen the work on some of the artists demoreels.. vfx was completed in early 2010, so a bunch of the work went around the web already. certainly no tutorial though.

I like the way the story unfolds and the rug pulls out at the end. Really great work, I actually cared about the character, good job. Well directed and acted. The visuals were also very professional. You used Blender I assume.

You shouldnt have such a detailed plot summary in the description though, I watched the short before reading it (glad I did) because it left me trying to work out what was going on while I was watching it - quite enjoyable and rewarding once I started seeing what was going on.
