  • Gets better everytime I watch it.

  • Colin your film is awesome.

  • I want that jet airliner toy

    Bad

  • great movie and VFX

  • Congratulations on winning the CINE Golden Eagle from a past Golden Eagle winner.

  • @GHcool Ah, thank you so much!

  • Wow its beautiful. The Music is fantastic as well! It was kinda confusing at first, because I wasn't sure what was happening until I realised it was going backwards. I dont do directing, but maybe it would have been better to somehow link the scenes like they did in memento. But then again its probably pretty hard to do that in a short. The only thing that linked it was the planes, but for a second I thought it was just different people with the same interest in flying haha

  • what is the sound effect at 0:06???

  • Wow everyone that commented saying yay or watever is stupid. HE DID DIE IN THE CRASH. read the description! he is dead & is just looking back at his life from a different persons body at the end.

  • I jumped of excitement when the kid started playing with the ambulance toy. This made my day.

  • Well in some parallel universe maybe we made different choices and are different. Amazing to realize that such a small choice triggered by such small incidents leads to something that changes our lives.

  • Absolutely stunning!

  • I'm confused.

Looks to me like he ended up being a paramedic instead.

    Nevertheless, great short! Really inspirational!

  • @moviesunrated

    That's the... don't... why...

When he was a kid he crashed his plane and starting playing as a doctor, the audience is left to assume that some time before the fatal flight he decided he would rather take a job as a Paramedic, probably before, or as a result of his wife breaking up with him.

  • @Chaoslava

Its not before the crash or due the divorce.

Its a coinflip decision made as a child, Colin illustrates what a choise made decades ago, could result in. tracking back trough the pilot line. You're shown the outcome of the of both choices when they come together. one resulting in death the other in life.

  • really great..two thumbs up!

  • I love this short film! I watched it three times now, one of the best short films I've seen. :-)

  • Such an amazing short video, defiantly one of my favorites since I feel like I share the same love for aviation which the main character does, once you have that passion its a tough thing to loose.

  • i felt really bad that i didn't understand the end considering i've been pumped to see this for ages. i had to read the description.

  • @Bmud Ah, I'm sorry to hear that buddy. I know the feeling. As a moviegoer I feel like I usually miss something big, I have to ask my friends most of the time. :P

  • I feel like I've seen one of the shots in this film before.... in like a tutorial or an fxphd website.. hmmm.

    Awesome anyway,

  • @Rsteenoven you have probably seen the work on some of the artists demoreels.. vfx was completed in early 2010, so a bunch of the work went around the web already. certainly no tutorial though.

  • BTW--Excellent work by the actors!

  • @byssacpack Thanks so much! I hope I can continue doing this stuff. :)

  • @effstops You've probably looked into it but crowdfunding, Kickstarter and IndieGoGo and/or other social media fundraising tools might be a good way to go. In any event, I hope you get grants to continue your artistic endeavors. Best of luck again and I'd be more happy to make a modest contribution if you decide to go the aforementioned routes.

Reminded me of sliding doors but a condensed version.

So when is the sequel when the medic drives his ambulance off a cliff and we find out he really chose a career as an office worker?

  • This is superb! Absolutely fantastic! Liked and favourited and you deserve to do so well with this film! You deserve recognition for this! I wish you all the best!

  • Shit, man. You make me soooooo freekin emotional when watching this sort of story flow ! a Bit confusing though. This guy was dreaming to be a pilot, but switched to becoming a medic. Good decision he made ! It's like seeing into the future. Anyway, Good work Colin.

  • I think this short will change my life.

  • Great short Colin (and team) - loved it.

You shouldnt have such a detailed plot summary in the description though, I watched the short before reading it (glad I did) because it left me trying to work out what was going on while I was watching it - quite enjoyable and rewarding once I started seeing what was going on.
