Kate parents did help. Her father church donated 6 cribs, a new van, and a bunch of clothes. Kate refused the 6 cribs because they didn't match and the clothes because they weren't "Brand name"..
Kate insisted that the church give her money instead. This pissed of her father.

Think what it's been like for them, esp when the kids were babies...all the crying,whining, vomiting, diaper-changing, feeding, bathing, cooking, sleepless nights, trying to go somewhere and packing all the stuff you need, figuring what to take, how much,etc. Kate has a LOTS of stress, and though she doesn't mean to seem rude to Jon, sometimes the stress is released in that way. But Jon understands, coz he is the same way, sometimes. But love is the glue that holds them together.

They hardly pay for anything they are both unemployed. Jon was never able to hold a steady job before the kids were born anyways. No excuse for her not working at least perdiem as a nurse. Its easier to get handouts from the network and welfare for healthcare. And perks from businesses hoping they will be featured in the show, makes for a pretty comfortable life. Why actually work when you can live off the backs of your own kids?

No it's called getting used to it. How quickly you forgot about Kate's explosion over the ironing incident, berating Jon for his actions and beliuttling his thought process. I just love how Jon smiled and giggled when he was castriated at the toy store. Yes, I saw how Jon loved it. Kate like everyone has issues but you can't act one way and say another and have everyone fall in line like they do in her house. Wow, this is certainly a different "spin" from what the truth appears to be.
Jon and Kate had a full year of a 30 hour per week (!), Medicare (read: taxpayer paid) nanny, but apparently that was not enough for them. They appealed for a second year. To check the facts, look for Pittsburgh Tribune's "Pittsburgh Live" segment.
The producers needs to replace Jon and Kate plus 8 there is nothing Real about the show.I could dump out 6 or more kids if I done vitro, I'm not that STUPIED!
There helpers (aunti Jodi) aren't there anymore because the production company wanted to give them all contracts and salaries for the filming in there homes and being on the show but Kate had a fit and said she would rather hire strangers instead and she got rid of them. Once she doesn't need anyone anymore she gets rid of them, even if they are family. Its not like she needs the help anyway, they have a full time personal chef, nannies, maid, laundry service. Jon and Kate make me sick.

Paranoid? It's called observation.
Kate calls the shots, Jon is along for the ride. I suspect because Kate has dropped her parents and now Jodi I suspect they aren't the only ones dropped because of Kate's obsessive need to control.
Honestly I suspect in 20 yrs when the kids are out Jon will leave Kate. I admire her for raising a large family on what appears to be an even keel. But I think she's left some bad blood along the way. Kate appears damaged to me from something in her past.

I'll bet Jon's parents being out of the picture as well is in all likelyhood Kate's doing. Jon's answer for his mom not being in the show was pretty lame. In 3 yrs they've never visited for any occasion at all? No offense to Kate but she clearly suffers from O.C. Her need to have everything perfect is one thing, but having it all the time is a sign she needs help. She abuses her husband emotionally and verbally to get her way, if any of the kids rebel good luck to them, she'll cut them out too.

well sure, but shes just joking! in almost every episode she says that shes joking, and jon and laughs and says he enjoys it. and how do you know the real reason why his mom never shows, he can just be lieing, and by the way, calling out all there problems is none of your buisness. kate is aware of her problems and she is getting alot better. so stop judgeng this family, they have enough problems not to mention people who think they get their life like you who keep putting them down.

Guess what..when you put your problems out on national TV then they become everyone's business. Not sure what your TV shows but Jon looks anything byt pleased when Kate corrects his english, every episode. Kate interupting him, finishing his sentences, telling him he's wrong. Oh yes! he's definetly having fun. With people being banished out of the family I'll bet anything there are more people than we have heard about. As I said, it's Kate's way or no way..Jon has zero say and it shows.

oh my god your pretty dramatic for a person who sees about 2 hours of this family's life a week. guess what, theres about 166 other hours of the week that you never see, so who the hell are you to criticize a family that you barely know about?

The other 166 hrs are full of Kate getting the last word as well. Kate's behavour is so abysmil towards her husband, she'd rather be right or make something clean than show respect to her husband.Her in laws are not in her life, either are her parents, her brother and sister in law and you think those are the only ones gone at Kate's hands? All of this televised for the world to see and if you want to believe all is rosy? Go ahead, like Jon your head is in the sand too.

Such language! I just saw an add for tomorrow's show while watching another TLC show. True to from there is Kate saying "oh you just ramble" to Jon. I just wish someone would point out to her that she is rude! How dare you address anyone especially your husband like that! Maybe somebody should point out to Kate by saying that she's acting like an absolute bitch. How rude of her to do that to her husband! I can only imagine how much of a terror she is w/the production comapny.

exactly. you can only imagine since you spend about 2 hours with them every week. you dont know kate, so you have no right to juge her and its called teasing. jon does that to kate plenty of times. but he loves her! he wouldnt be with her if he didnt want to

No it's called getting used to it. How quickly you forgot about Kate's explosion over the ironing incident, berating Jon for his actions and beliuttling his thought process. I just love how Jon smiled and giggled when he was castriated at the toy store. Yes, I saw how Jon loved it. Kate like everyone has issues but you can't act one way and say another and have everyone fall in line like they do in her house. The list of people banished from her life appears to be growing or don't you see that?

nope actually i dont. kate has plenty of friends that love and support her for who she is and like i've said about 5 times already, the comparison to times that jon and kate fight to when they get along, is like1 for every 10.

Looking at these incidents as seperate issues is simply ridiculous. I have a lot of respect for the them as a couple keeping 8 kids in line and on an even keel. But do not tell me all of that hasn't happened at a price! A husband, who will be this week again publically humiliated by a wife who feels its her responsibility to correct him to her standards at every turn. I would love Jon to get a back bone and give it right back to her. She is rude, condescending, controlling and unpleasant.

And I love how you just whitewash over the fact there appears to be a growing list ofpeople banished from her life. So what if Jodi was getting paid for her time, at scale and little cash at that. What about Kate's wish for the family to give back to those who have helped out? Ah..I see..as long as it fits her idea which obviously is not her money. It's not all about her the more people who are kicked out of her life, the less reason to watch the show. But there's probably no telling her that.

thank you for your comments. It's like everyone here wants to think that because they are a good looking family and the kids are clean, maintained and fun to watch, they can do no wrong! There's so many things that are not right about that family situation and since they their living publicizing their life on national television, people ought to have an opinion!

Wow, this is certainly a different "spin" from what the truth appears to be.
Jon and Kate had a full year of a 30 hour per week (!), Medicare (read: taxpayer paid) nanny, but apparently that was not enough for them. They appealed for a second year. To check the facts, look for Pittsburgh Tribune's "Pittsburgh Live" segment.

There helpers (aunti Jodi) aren't there anymore because the production company wanted to give them all contracts and salaries for the filming in there homes and being on the show but Kate had a fit and said she would rather hire strangers instead and she got rid of them. Once she doesn't need anyone anymore she gets rid of them, even if they are family. Its not like she needs the help anyway, they have a full time personal chef, nannies, maid, laundry service. Jon and Kate make me sick.
