I was lazy reading all the comments...which one has the tdi engine? (which one wins?) I got a big fat passat b6 with the 2.0tdi and a chiptuning for 200hp....it doesn.t seem this fast :(

The extra torque (alot of it) from the diesel allows it to gain the extra push and get slightly ahead of the TFSi. The Octavia is a great car.

Difference is in torque... a massive one. And VW is limiting that TFSI engines for economics sake (only 280nm for that one). Audi 2.0TFSI with the same engine has 320nm (180hp version) or 350nm (211hp version)... now this is a different story...

I have exactly the same car and power is awesome...The turbo lag is there, but if you know when to change the gears it pulls away like a rocket, especially in third. A Vrs TDI with some pretty cheap tuning can outperform many many cars...

Pokud bych dal 6tikvalt a nemel dlouhy 5tikvalt tak ne, kroutak ma porad hodne navrch co do pruznosti, rozdily jsou az od 200kmh co sme zkouseli na letisti s ciplou ORS1 na 200HP kde ji limituje taky dlouhy 5tikvalt a oproti tomu ORS2 uz pak mela navrch, ja mam 4ku do 200Kmh, a petka uz je strasne dlouha a pak uz to tolik nejede.. zatim sme jeli nejvic 235Khm dle GPS (tacho 250kmh) v De..

Kazdopadne takovy richlosti sou CR ale stejne k nicemu :))

@muthu161 They always do! The SKODA was seen as a joke in the UK, but not any more! They are a lot of car for not a lot of money AND they can have a DSG gearbox. They are very good cars with strong engines so I will be looking at a diesel Octavia with DSG for my next car. I had a go of one and it was so much better than a Ford Focus diesel in every way!

Milujem Diesel. Clovek ked slapne na plyn tak citi tu energiu kdez to u benzinaku je ten pocit uplne mimo. Jazdim na1.9TDI 66kw Cordobe , odskusal som sefovu Octavku MK2 1.6 16V 74KW tah toho benzinu ma vobec neprekvapil .Skor by som tvrdil ze moja kordoba nato ze ma len 66 Kw je ovela zivsia a agresivnejsia. Dajte mi minusky kolko len chcete ale je to tak. Pisem len o seriovkach s tuningovimi vozmi nemam ziadne skusenosti.

tú energiu čo cítiš, nemá nastarosti výkon, ale točivý moment (Nm) prenášaný na kolesá, to je "to" čo ťa tlačí do sedačky keď dáš plyn. Keďže diesel, má vrchol krútiaceho momentu položený v nižšich otáčkach, zdá sa pri bežnom jazdení dynamickejší ako benzín, ktorý ich má vo vyšších, preto je pri benzíne nutné podradiť a motor vytočiť, kdežto u diesla to nie je potrebné, pretože máš dostatok momentu v spodných otáčkach

Nein gibt keinen 1,9er im RS.

Es gibt im RS nur den 2.0 TFSI mit 200 und den 2.0 TDI mit 170 PS!
