hi all i was the lanc pilot on that day it was so hot lampposts were looking for dogs just to put the story right it flew about 40 more missions after that at lots of shows elvington weston park east kirkby etc its still in one peice it was donated to methringham museum lincs were it has been restored but not to fly just for static but you never know when a new better one may appear it was 1/4 scale weighed 360lbs 450cc of combined engines and needed pilot and copilot all s.m.services equipment.
Yes it is but now it is now retired and if you want to see it it now resides at the RAF Metheringham Visitor Centre, Lincolnshire, about 5 miles away from Lincoln going towards Skeggy/Grantham.
