Brilliant. One of the first kids' shows (unless you count the Muppet Show itself) that is almost as much fun to watch as an adult as a kid. It entertains on several levels, just like all Muppets stuff!

Notice how Nanny never appears unless she hears a noise and she excuses herself for a nap, leaving kids in a very non-kid safe room with closed doors to fend for themselves. They're what, 3? Yeah. I wouldn't be leaving my 3-year-old in another room out of earshot or eyesight.

It's too bad that Jim didn't create an adult Skeeter puppet for the Muppet Show or his workshop creating one for other muppet-related events. I think they did create a baby skeeter puppet for a Muppet Christmas special, where everyone was at Fozzie's mother's house watching over movie reels. Why, they even made a baby animal puppet.

Skeeter was still lost in the Amazon, and didn't appear until recently in the Muppet Show comic book, where she--dressed in goth/punk style--still bugged her nerdy stage manager brother, acted as Gonzo's assistant during stunts, and even dated Fozzie temporarily.

I think it's an incredible double standard, if it were a MALE muppet with an obssesive crush on a female muppet and beating her up all the time and beating up everyone else, people would be saying he's a JERK, so why is it OK for a female character to act like that?

That's a good point, if it were a male muppet acting like Miss Piggy, not only would he not be beloved, he would be looked at as a jerk and a bully and a soon to be domestic abuser and would probably get yanked off the air.
