  • I used to have RLS but I found that jogging after work then vaping some nice cannabis helped me sleep and keep the bug feeling away, best sleep ever

  • I had a sleep study last month and it turns out I have PLM at a rate of 30 movements per hour. It never woke me up but it drew me out of REM sleep so that I only spent 11% of my night in REM sleep (as opposed to an optimum of 25%). However, my doctor says that nothing can be done about it, so I may just have to put up with being tired during the day. So...sigh.

  • I usually keppt getting this feeling to have to move my legs, especially when i was dead tired and after periods of prolonged physical stress, e.g. long periods of bad nutrition due to money issues and then also after periods of extensive exercise. I'm free of my rls for years now. I just take a calcium tablet once a month, which are relatively inexpensive food supplements that can be purchased literally everywhere and within 12 hours the symptoms are gone and don't return for weeks.

  • In my opinion, it's due to lack of good, rigorous, and frequent exercise. Go ride a bike, play tennis, jog a few times around the block. You need the body to BE tired. Sitting at a desk all day, you might get tired, but your BODY is not physically tired. from working.

  • thats plmd not rls

  • I take dostinex (cabergoline) and if that fails to control my RLS I use low doses of tramadol. Stay away from antihistamines which in many people trigger RLS.

  • this looks more like periodic limb movement disorder, not RLS

  • that is so me lmao

  • I think I got it too, in my left leg only. Not sure if I move my leg around while asleep though. Its usually not a problem when I'm bussy with something, like watching a move or playing video games (given that they are interesting :P), but when I try to consentrate to study it can be hard to keep my leg at peace.

  • Great video. Go see a sleep doctor in your area. They may prescribe some medication for you. There are several meds available to treat this condition. Please update us on your current status.

  • Restless Legs Syndrome is a god awful sensation in the legs while awake. For me it feels like a tremor deep in the muscles. Periodic Leg Movements of Sleep only happen...during sleep.

  • It shows the periodicity of PLMD. Thx for sharing

  • for me the sensation is actually not located in my leg muscles. it feels more as if I had a phantom kind of uneasy sensation right next to where my leg is located and I feel the urge to shake it away. Fortunately I don't have that every night, but what annoys me is that it only occurs when I really need sleep, basically when I'm so exausted that I'm looking forward to go to bed and finall shut my eyes. It's so unfair...

  • @MarioTommadich i have the same feeling, but every night. and i get the creepy crawly feeling too

  • My husband does the same thing. It keeps me awake. :(

  • I had the exact same problem and cured it. My legs moved just like Eddie's for the last 10 years. I solved it by cutting out all alcohol and all caffeine. Caffeine is in all kinds of things besides coffee, chocolate, brownies, sports gels, drinks and so on. Cut out all of it, then eat foods that increase your dopamine. Be careful - caffeine withdrawal was bad for a few days. Read up - consult doctor etc. I feel much better and no twitching!

  • Guys if u r suffering from restless pain syndrome, you probably have PAD peripheral artery disease, and your next step is to see an endovascular specialist. I am a cma in Las Vegas, NV, and i see this type of patients every week. U should get your legs arteries checked, and do not wait till it gets worse, like getting ulcers or other complications.

  • Check some other videos on Youtube about RLS. Low levels of Dopamine can cause RLS as well as some other factors like Parkinson's Disease, stress, etc. You have to find a specialist in order to determine the intensity of RLS affecting the person and also possible causes. Once that is done you can find what solutions are available for your specific case.

  • I have RLS as well, I'm only 12 years old though.

I haven't found any solutions, if I ask my mom she'll say, "Stop being such a hypochondriac," and same for her BF, and when I asked my sister, she said, "No you don't, I have Restless Leg Syndrome," even though she doesn't, she runs up to me, kicks me, screams, "RLS!" and runs away, so yeah. Is there anything that can help me?? Please help, it 's really quite annoying.

  • Wierdly enough I suffer from both restless leg syndrome and periodic limb movement but whats weird is that my RLS is only ever when im awake... its not a problem at all tyring to fall asleep. I find I can only sleep if I slep on my stomach as it calms the legs

  • I am a 56 yo male, ive had RLS since i was a teen, was diagnosed 20 years ago and put on meds for parkinsons but that only lasted for a year. It affects my whole body now, not just my legs anymore. I really can't remember the last time i slept. I recently had open heart surgery and had been on pain killers for a couple of months. They actually helped me sleep till i ran out and now it seems like my RLS is the worst it's ever been. It's hard to understand if you don't have it.

  • I have extreme RLS. At it's worst I even have some uncontrolled hand/arm movements, can RLS ever affect even hands or arms?

  • It affects my hands and arms too. I wake up like I never fell asleep. I am never rested!

I have hit my hubby so many times! poor guy

  • The result of not getting good sleep is starting to take it's toll. I've heard Dr.'s say that one of the hardest things, is for the patient to describe the feeling or sensation accurately. My best description, and it may sound stupid, is like my legs have claustrophobia! I will do anything to get them moving & try to relieve the crawling/urging sensations.

  • I don't know if RLS shows up while you are actually sleeping. For me, I get it while I'm trying to fall asleep which obviously makes it almost impossible. I take reprinorole (spelling?) right now and it works pretty good. Hind of sucks that I have to take meds, but RLS sucks!

  • I tried Ropinirole (Requip) for about 6 months. It made my RLS worse and made me nauseated. I just can't tolerate that drug.

  • @eddieazeidman hi! i also have an RLS and i really hate it. i havent videod myself so i dont know if it actually looks like this. my problem begins when im trying to fall asleep. it's really hard to sleep because it attacks. i asked my doctor about this and she gave me gabapentin taken before sleeping.

  • @longlivethe80s yea thats the same for me, i haven't been diagnosed or anything but when i go to the doctor ill ask about reprinorole, i didn't even know there was medicine.

  • @gogr33n19 yeah...it works great for me. I only take .5 grams an hour and half before bedtime. you will sleep like a baby. goodluck!

  • @longlivethe80s I kept moving my legs voluntarily every few seconds. Then I voluntarily moved my legs again. I kept doing that until I fell asleep. It was pure torture.

  • @TheAmpad yep...i know what you mean. it's pure torture...

  • ì have same problem don,t know how long

  • I have this! It is extremely annoying and it makes me extremely irritable. I get it if I've sat too long, while I'm driving, trying to sit & watch a movie...and trying to go to sleep! Uggghhh! My life! ={

  • are you a drummer? do what I do, constantly practice 2ble bass techniques,,, even in bed

  • @drummrkid101 yeah, it really sucks. i hate it. sometimes it attacks when you're sleepy and about to sleep. the ending, you cant sleep at all!

  • omg i have it and its the most annoying thing ever. i just dont have the creepy crawly sensation. just a dull achy pain with the spasms

  • @mandi05 did u get well?? itchy legs?

  • this could be periodic limb movement disorder (PLMD) which can be linked to other sleep disorders and health problems. i suggest you ask your doctor to refer you for a sleep study.

  • Thanks, I'll try both of your suggestions and let you know if it works.

  • @eddieazeidman which one worked?

  • massaging may help. also i know this is really random but i have heard that placing a bar of soap at the foot of the bed under the sheets helps!?!?!
