''Your citi card can help you write it; citi, let's get it done''.

    .

Can anyone tell me about the accent, of the speaker, of the words, at the very end of this advertisement.

What geographical location would he be from, do you suppose?

    .

    Anyone?

  • I'm Norwegian (100% norsk), but gets queasy about posts here stabbing at the Swedes. This commercial is charming as Hell, and although we do like to joke that the father/son were probably disappointed to discover they are Swedish, they are in for a similar adventure in Sweden. Sweden has such a rich history and so much to show to, stuff you wouldn't find in Norway.

What we are to do when the oil runs out? To quote the Swedes: Fåglarna vet.

  • I just want to send a word of caution regarding Citicard's credit protector service. After deciding this service wasn't right for me, I have tried to cancel it on THREE different occasions. Each time, the fee continues to be applied to my balance every month. I am going to try to cancel for a fourth time tomorrow, and the next call Citicard gets will be from my lawyer. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR CREDIT PROTECTOR!!!

  • @LetsPlayStarcraft Was the customer service rep you spoke with named "Peggy"?

  • haha, funny :D

  • När oljan tar slut så ska ni åka skidor, what? XD

  • @aidiwashere Jeg vet ikke men vi kan altis vine over sverie i vintersport vis vi trenger en opmuntring =D

  • yeah, screw Norway..!

  • id love to visit norway sometime.

  • i norge har vi olje olje olje i norge har vi olje tralalalal

  • Nei det er dere ikke^^

  • um what are those things next to the fish head on the plate?

    they look like... ya know

  • @danbrown4life

Traditional norwegian pork sausages. Lots of nutmeg in em.

    We call them "medisterpølser"

  • this is soooo cute <3

  • Hahahhaha genius xD

  • I can tell it's only one thing I like better about Sweden than Norway, and thats your bloody cheap sigars and spirits. How can something be so cheap!?

But aye, Scandinavians. We are one people, don't forget. We shouldn't be arguing. I remember a time we were called the kalmar union/kalmarunionen, and I dream about Scandinavia reunited. Why shouldn't we be one nation?

  • I'm Norwegian, and yes smalahove taste like shit, but lutefisk is okay!

we americans love our heritage. Sweden is only good for buying cheaper cigarettes and alcohol. sorry. truth hurts. (there really isn't a huge difference in my opinion)

  • the son's name is scott, i just worked with him for the Culver's 25th reunion commercial. He is a very cool guy.

  • His name is Scott Organ...he's an actor/playwright

  • " i feel like yodeling" lol

    *don't know if i spelled that right. . . .

  • I love this commercial does anyone know what the music is?

I mean is it well known theme or something?

  • ha-ha funny!!

  • Yeah, let's wait until AFTER we make a huge trip to Norway to find out it's not actually the land of our ancestors. Dumb motherfucker.

  • Who is the actor playing the son? He is adorbz!!

  • Poor guys, Swedish XD

  • wow... Norway is so beautiful, I'm amused..

But do u really eat that fish head though.. is it cod??

    wierd..

    anyways... beautiful country

  • Thank you very much! :D

For some perhaps (that type of food might be is tradition for some), but I believe you find it very difficult to find a resturant that serves fishheads.

  • Was that korv on the plate with the fish? I'm not sure what it's called in Norway.

And does anyone know the song that was playing? I like folk sounding stuff like that.

  • it's called polse, korv is swedish.

  • nobody really eats that shit. lutefisk, smalahove. Never met a norwegian who liked it.

  • wow the old guy looks like a really nice guy.

  • Nice portrayal of senior citizens. The guy looks 85, not 60. To the twerps who produced the commercial, that's what a 60-year-old man looks like. He's so befuddled he doesn't even know he's Swedish. Good going Citi.

  • The actors in this commercial look REALLY familiar . . . does anyone know who they are?

  • The Dad character was sitting across from me yesterday (4/1) waiting to audition for a "stipend-only" (read "essentially a freebie") reading. I stared at the poor guy (perhaps he used to it by now; I hope I didn't blow his audition for him) but could not place him. There are so many very talented but essentially nameless people working in this town.

  • does anybody know what song is playing? I'd love you if you could tell me! Thanks! =)

  • I LOVE this commercial. I think it's hilarious.

  • Vo at the end is Forrest Whitaker

  • Love the Swedes?? You must be kidding? History can not be erased. The Swedes can just not be trusted. Ever seen how Swedes act when abroad? They act as if they own the world, drunk and loud in all their manners. Seen too many Swedes. Norwegian likes the Danes not but the Swedes. There are no Norwegian jokes about the Danes, but a lot about the poor Swedes. Get your history straight ;-)

  • Good commercial and cute, though the music sounded more like from Ireland than Norway, as far as I know...

  • You are correct. The ad agency did not do their homework. The music is Irish and there are no ferries you can take across a fjord from Oslo to Sweden. I can really understand why they are sooooo disappointed learning they are of Swedish anchestry. Being from Denmark would have been ok. Citi and HSBC are the only two truly international banks.

  • I knew I wasn't crazy, hehe

  • The ad agency did do their homework. NO ONE CARES. It is a funny commercial. We do not have ferries here, for that matter, trains either. Yea it sounds Irish to me to but I could talk to thousands of people here and no one could tell me what the "Norsk" sound is. Isn't one. 5-Stars of Scandanavia goes from Oslo to Stockholm. You should get off the E18 and check it out!!!

    ---signed, Dumb American

  • Shut up. Americans aren't like that. At least, no one i know is. Sure, i have met some people at camps who have been really stupid. One even didn't know who Hitler was. But really, that is super racist. You're being an asshole

  • i am from norway and i live in the US and use citibank and I dont regret using tht brand at all..weeh! awesome! ^^

  • Hehe - citibank is responsible for one of the greatest financial scandals in norwegian history:) Funny that they chose Norway:) By the way - the boat they boarded will hardly get them to Sweden.. I just got off that boat an hour ago and it brings you to my home - Nesodden (still very much in Norway:) Nice ad though:)

  • Bummer not being Norwegian. Nicely capturing the disapointment discovering being from Sweden and not Norway. "Tickets to Stockholm please". Norway hosted the Winter Olympics in 1994 while Sweden lost the opportunity because the Swedish King overslept and missed an appointment with the IOC President. Only Swedes can do stupid things like that ;-) Citi has been able to catch Norway's dislike for Sweden and always making fun of them.

  • haha...It's funny to see the father's disappointed face when he realizes that he is not Norwegian - but Swedish...I can understand that though

  • I would have been disapointed too discovering being from Sweden instead of Norway. What a bummer. Norwegians don't like Swedes too much so Citi has been able to catch this as well. Has something to do with that Sweden cooperated with Germany during WWII. The Swedish King was very German friendly, something Norwegians can never forgive the Swedes.

  • Well, we love the Swedish. They're our neighbors and brother, but we do like to tease them. Our relationship is good. Probably one of the best in the world.

  • @Sunchico same face he gave me when we didnt have time to go to starbucks haha xD he is my uncle

  • thanks for posting...just returned from a family vacation to Norway with my father. brings back memories.
