how much were your laithes? and how do you warp your wands?

@harrypotterfreak4321 The wood lathe can cost as low as $80.00 but this one I think was $100.00 the metal lathe was around $3,500.00 if I remember correctly Ive had it for many years now

@Pottergeek1234 Thanks, the lathe does most of the work. I have busted a couple using soft wood but for the most part they turn fairly good on it. Im still trying to find parts for the wood lathe so I can make more but it seems finding parts is near impossible

I blew up my cauldron!! Has anybody else blown up one? so I had to buy a new cauldron and I lost my house 4 or 5 points :-(

So if you mess up when your making a potion dont put it on full heat thinking its a quick way to start over (lol) it will blow up and melt everywhere with a pretty cool visual effect too........

@eviltig yeah, I have blown a few cauldrons already *shame*. I just added the wrong amount of ingredients (the bottle ones are tricky!), or sometimes when I stir and then let go, it still goes on.

@eviltig, in my oppinion all PM wands look the same, I have got 10 3/4 inches Alder and a phoenix feather core, I am a Ravenclaw(RAVENCLAWESOME's FTW :D) ~Runeblade83

@ravenclawsome1 They have a few different styles I think, my daughter just got hers and its totally different with some rope on the handle and looks like a split piece of wood. Im sure there is only a few different styles though with color changes and such

That looks fantastic! Is it fir like the description on Pottermore? If I want to get mine done like that, I need redwood and I don't know how to get that. I do think all of the wands look the same, so it would be cool to design your own but use the kind of wood and length in the description so that its more unique. :)
