Consumption seemed very light but I only flew it about 3 or 4 times on that day and no more. I removed the engine to put in a 1/4 scale SE5a but changed my mind deciding it was to heavy considering the long nose of the SE5a.
The engine now sits in a draw and the airframe has been sold on, sorry I cannot help with more info on fuel.
@Bove1976 It's heavy and with a wet sump. Power for a 31cc I thought was quite low however the loop I puled was downwind from level flight and not with the ideal prop (not found it yet) so perhaps the power is not that bad. Clearly you would not sue it on a 3D airframe, more for WW1 floaters etc.
At Last! a proper post of a gx 31 actually flying! I have just bought one to do the same job. Where did you gey your plans from? I was thinking of a scaled up super 60. Do you have any vid of the engine installation? are you running standard ignition? What size prop is that? I want to build something that looks and sounds like a proper plane and yours definitely does! BRILLIANT
It's genuine Honda GX31, they are also used on small cultivators and weed whackers. It's using the original mag ignition and has a prop driver turned from ali which bolts to the flywheel.

What was the fuel consumption based on experience of engine sizes, use and type of flying you did with it?

Finally a Honda GX in the air. How is the power to weight ratio an this engine compared to simmilar engines made for rc?

I had no plans of either airframe or engine conversion, bought the airframe 2nd hand purely as a test bed for the Honda .
There is no vid of engine installation.
It is running on the standard Mag Ignition.
Prop is a Menz 20 X 8", not ideal the 4 strokes prefer heavy nylon props in my experience.
Airframe is up for sale,
I only flew it for 4 flights on the day of the vid and then removed the engine ready to fit to a 1/4 scale SE5a I'm in the process of building.
