  • those signals should have turned red long before that train past,should have ben yellow when train was 2 signal blocks away and turned red when train was 1 block away,and turned off as train past into the next block,somethings wrong with those signals,WOW!!!p.s. i worked for illinois central railroad many years ago in jackson,ms.

  • That was a keen eye to catch the signal illumination! These signals have been updated to the newer "approach-lit" signals to conserve electricity and extend bulb life, different from the earlier signals the IC had in the past, so from the other side (the approaching side), the signals would have actually been illuminated as the train entered the facing block segment. This side went on as the locomotive tripped the block in the foreground, so it was red indicating the block to the north.

  • the cn might want to check on that grade crossing, it appears that the track has a dip in it right after it crosses through the crossing
