@Prototype87 Very well said my friend. I just really tire of those who profess to be better in some way because they go t church. I have said many times before that just going to church makes a person as much a Christian as standing in their driveway makes them a car.
Thank you so much for making this video, Stormy! There is only one church in my county where everyone is welcome and their motto is, everyone is welcome, and we mean everyone! I'm planning on visiting their congregation next Sunday. Any church who would turn anyone away, needs to look in the mirror and re-examine what they are doing. Great story about the angel who visited your church in West Virginia! -Jim
@CountryComesToTown Thanks Jim. Hope things work out with that church. Sunny "works for God" and she told me to tell you to check out that churches website and see what their mission is. Although there are many churches that are sincere about it, she said that there are some churches that profess to accept everyone, but once in the door they do the whole "pray the gay away" thing. Not saying that church is one of them. We hope not. But, she says you are always welcome at her church.
I've said this before, but I truly believe if Jesus showed up today and walked into some of the churches we have here, he would say WTF (in aramaic of course) not recognizing what the services were all about - plus he stands a good chance of being escorted out for looking and talking different.
Most religions - while claiming to unite - more oft than not - divide. Nice story.
@sunsetlover Hi Ang. I just don't understand how they feel the "right" to do it. There is a reason these people want to be there even if they can't dress "properly". I never could wrap my head around why you have to look like a millionare to go into a church. Even TV preachers don't care if you watch in your jammies or nothing at all. Not saying I think people should go to church in their jammies or naked. THAT would be a little over the top even for me. ;-)
I think I'm safe! I don't claim to have moral standards...LOL It's much easier to live in this world not claiming them, so I just live by my own "moral standards" the best I can according to what works best for me while doing no harm to others. The ONLY thing I can control is ME and MY actions, nor do I want to control anyone else either! WAY too much responsibility for my liking...:-)
Religions...don't get me started! LOL Thanks for saying a lot of it for me! :-) xoxoxo to you both!
@GreatGig1 Looks like I almost got you started Caylyn. :-) I have my own beliefs about things that many religions don't really recognize as truths because they are spoken and not written. But I won't get started on that now. I agree with you on living with your own "moral standards". Many of the people I spoke of won't take the responsibility for their actions. They just put it off on "God's way".
Thank you for saying this! I painfully dealt with this myself with some churches. I am spiritual but I wont be go to church. Erin

@downwithborgs Wonderful to hear from you Erin. Hope all is well with you.
I really haven't had much "luck" with organized religions. I have more of an earth-bound way of belief myself.
Thanks for stopping by.
