yes, cartoon music is obviously music used in cartoons, even J.S.Bach! No slam to Mr. Scott, only reverence for his wonderful work. He apparently never watched cartoons.
This is NOT cartoon music. It's a Raymond Scott Quintette song from 1937. Warner Brothers bought the rights to Raymond Scott's early catalog That's why it was available to Carl Stalling for use in his cartoon scores. Is Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor "Cartoon Music" just because it was used in Disney's Fantasia?
@KingYakko If you want to hear high quality versions of some of Raymond Scott's music as he originally arranged it, check out The Beau Hunks Sextette album "Celebration On The Planet Mars - A Tribute to Raymond Scott". Powerhouse and The Penguin are especially good. I think Amazon has it.
@mondojoey Look for "Powerhouse" by Raymond Scott in many Looney Tunes cartoons, including the classic "Early to Beat" and "It's Hummer Time". It's featured in "The Carl Stalling Album", which showcases Stallings arrangements and performances of numerous music classics in the Looney Tunes cartoons.
I am an official (self-appointed) Jeff Sanford groupy!! He is a phenomenal musician and I a lucky understudyling who gets to spend a couple of hours on Wednesday evenings learning from him in his music workshop!
Great music, but makes me feel like I should be making magnetos on a Model T assembly line.

@Copper20 That was actually a PARODY of "Powerhouse" by Raymond Scott; not the original tune presented here

Warner's must have owned the rights to an awful lot of stuff, to let Carl Stallings's name go solely on the music credits to those cartoons!
