I think this was the first year for Kenny's Budweiser Super Team with all Ford power (save for the Funny Car) cars. Ford spent heavy in this era. Budget Rent-A-Car was also owned by Ford in those days. Micheal Kranafus spent a TON, he believed motorsport helped sell cars, he was right, Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday... Kenny was ahead of his time in corporate sponsors and what is known as "activation" for those sponsors that's normal today.

Nice shots of John Force in the Coca-Cola Corvette (so this has to be 1986) That car was the reason I became such a huge fan of Force.
