Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers do not wear a badge. They haven't for probably 50 years. The collar emblem on their right collar, has their "badge number." Also, their car's license plate is also their badge number.

This video is comical. First off buddy I will bet my life savings on that these girls did not have their seat belts on. Secondly you said you waited ten minutes before interfering and disturbing a police officer it usually takes an officer 15 to 20 minutes to conduct an investigation when pulling a person over. They have to run plates and check for warrants. That takes time dude. And third and most important you disturbed an officer while he was conducting a traffic stop. You are a moron.

I was the one holding the camera so I didn't interfere with anything. Seat belt must be properly affixed which means you have to use shoulder and lap belt. Also the Missouri State Highway Patrol does not wear badges on their chest. They have collar brass which has their badge number on it

I got pulled over one time in Bourbon, going 42 in the 30 next to city hall. I didn't do it intentionally, the cop followed me with his lights off and saw that I slowed down once I realized I was speeding, he then pulled me over and gave me a ticket at the stop sign. It was my first offense so I thought I should have gotten a warning but it is what it is. I still think police do more good than bad though. Just be wary of your speed and you should be fine driving through Bourbon.

The best thing to do is follow the directions of an officer, the other thing to do is keep your mouth shut. I have heard this area is a rough area, so the officer may have had a rough past in this area and is only trying to watch out for himself during his duties. It's not a good idea to interfere with traffic stop at anytime though for future info.

he does have his safety to watch out for. There is no telling who will do what during a traffic stop. So I can understand how he was caught off guard, however his open ended threats were unprofessional. Why he did not have a badge displayed is a shocker to me. Also why the traffic stop took as long as you say it did , seems odd as well. FYI, you probably with come into contact with him again as troopers are thin in the state of Missouri and stick in a 1-2 counties. So be aware, be safe

Co-workers over for a Primary Seat-belt Violation? In Missouri there is no Primary Seat-belt law. There are a few counties and cities that have a primary law, but in this case the officer is misusing his power legally and that it the first issue. The second issue I see is that the officer does not know who you are and could have arrested you for failure to comply since he was in the middle of his duty since you said you walked right up to him. While I feel there's nothing wrong with it...
