@Heyman730 No hair cuts for our girl but I do comb, brush, wipe and vaccuum my fuzzy akita. I use an old Royale Cannister vac with a brush attachment. She thinks she is having a nice massage;)

@SilverJann94 Akitas are not the easiest dogs to train lol but if you spend the time and energy you can have a wonderful dog and socialisation is important too as they can become dog aggressive. Misty is also destructive if left alone too long she likes to chew leather lol my suite mostly!! They are great with children and loving affectionate and loyal! Good luck !!!
i have a 7month old bitch akita had her since she was 15weeks she is the most loving dog ever won't listen to my partner though only her mammy ha they are lovely dogs!
My Akita does the same wiil not jump unless it is told to invited to as it would do as commanded.loverly dog and looks very happy and well looked after and i bet it listens to you more than yor husband.
@christopher23stefie lol too true!! Shes very well behaved unless shes playing with her boyfriend my male rotty/akita cross then she can tend to need 2 or 3 commands to stop but thats just excitement when they are on the leash they are both totally responsive.

Misty when she sees my friend just sits calmly next to her and rests her head next to her leg i think she understands my friends fear. Aw I love this! My dog is not an Akita but a mixed breed and she too gets so happy she shakes her whole bottom. She's always so happy when we come home, and that's usually when she does it too. What a blessing it is to have a happy dog!

Akita has a very good temper, they are very loyal to there owners, and do not attack inless they are told, or feel the need to. But they are very stubborn, and will do what works for them. A Akita is hands down the best fighting dog, next to it's sister breed, the Tosa. Akita's naturally don't like certain types of dogs because of there history in dog fighting, and they will always try to be the stronger one, even when they are playfighting, but they usually know there limits.
Yes, that could be from both the Rotweiller and Akita, it's not unknown for a Akita to have random hate towards any dog, it's just how they are, and it's often unexplainable when they attack... But depending on there ancestory, if those dogs where being fought, they could show aggression to other dominant dogs, and be ok with smaller ones, etc.

she has the exact same mannerisms as yours too just that yours has a bit more white on her front legs, i take it its a girl then as she acts the same way lol
