  • 20bucks that actor is a girl. :P

  • 1:46 lol, they WANT us to know that the guy is fake and are in a costume.

And whats that about 2:23, that must be the worst flying ever made, its even badder than Pippi Longstocking's sick and ugly effects, like where she and her friends are hanging from a cliff, while actually just filming them from above. This guy is stuck the floor, glue-style.

  • O.O Wow... That's... Interesting.

    No wonder I prefer cartoons to live-action stuff. ^^;

  • wow... just...just wow...

  • lol, none of these sites are good at all if your looking for a place to watch astro boy just check out theonlinecinema. net/astro_boy its the only site i found that gives you what it says

  • aw man, i feel like i should go back into my pj's, break out the cereal and watch this like a saturday morning show xD good stuff!

  • I grew up on this stuff along with this live action stuff including Tetsujin 28, Gekko Kamen, Nanairo Kamen, Maboroshi Tantei and Kaijin 20-Menso.

  • Pure Gold

  • Whoa... this is intense! :o

  • Astro Boy is referred to here by his original name of Tetswan Atomu ("Mighty Atom"). He was originally to have been named "Mighty Atom" when the original animated series came to America, but because DC Comics owns the rights to three separate characters called the Atom, the American translators were forced to use the name "Astro Boy."

  • wow... i guess this could be considered as the very first sentai too.

  • lol it looks like a cosplay outfit u could get today

  • Which manga is the oldest??? This one is kind of old anyway.

  • I read this book calle d"Autobiography of a Geisha once, and the woman who wrote the autobiography said that she would buy comic books for kids sometimes, that could be manga [this wasaround 1930 - 40 btw] lol.

  • cool ;P

  • Their was mangas before the 20th century in japan, we had to read a report on it in school once for a test.

  • I laughed so hard when they first showed him. It was so cheesetastic.

  • Cheese anybody? *passes a plate around* lol

  • This was adapted from one of Tezuka's manga stories- in fact, he later animated it in 1963 as an early episode of "Tetsuan Atom"- in the U.S., it was translated into the "ASTRO BOY" episode "Secret Agent 3-Z"....

  • wow.

  • This looks very good!

  • Howd you get this?????

  • Trust me, there will NEVER be a live-action Powerpuff Girls movie.

  • Does an english dubbed version of this exist, and how can it be obtained?

  • No. And it will never be. Osamu Tezuka did not want it like this!

  • Don't blame him. Yeech!!!!

  • This was the 1959 Japanese equivalent of adapting "Superman" into a live-action series- and Osamu Tezuka was NOT pleased. It was because of this that he decided that animating "Tetuswan Atom" for TV WAS possible, but it took him until 1963 to accomplish it!

  • eu vi que o video apresenta algumas falhas ai por causa delas o audo fica desigual em relação ao video

  • i kinda want that atom hat ID

  • LOL, so do I! ^_^

Although, that thing probably costs about $1,000,000. ~_~

    LOL! ^_~

  • Why are they playing "Ca C'est Paris"?

  • Neat animated into from the beginning! Also the sound doesn't fit along while playing, hope you could fix it...anyway, this is pretty cool! XD Thank you!

  • Its about 9 secounds out of place, heh

  • @ZJ1986 That is how it should be. You see, then the Japaneses for the first time started trying to make movies, they were so bad at fitting the tracks to... like the mouth's movements, but it has grown into a tradition for them to do it even today, and thats just SUCKY.
