I still follow you around the Tube. Is this one of your first videos? Becasue this camera is a lot hazier, but I still love the music and the improvisation is just trippy! Man, you need to go and get sponsored!
Man, I love jammin on that tune. Where did you get the background music and is there any way i could get a copy of it? I always jam to the "crossroads 2004" version on DVD, but it would be nice not to have Clapton's solo so i could improvise. Your chops and phrasing are awesome, by the way.
a little repeative and relaxed i really like a lot of tension in blues or rock riffs but not bad. you had some really cool licks in there man. very original sounding. with some of the licks you played it sounded really fast and and still soulful. i like how contrast minor and pentanoic very nicely. not bad but a little repetative and looses feeling sometimes. 59 seconds and on is the best in my opinion. keep it up
Spot on tone, nice restraint.less is more. you are better off with out pedals. Pedals make up for the lack of an amp. A nice rig needs no pedals. A nice- his is and nice amp- his is and some talent his- all you need bro. Play on!
great playing, could you lend me any resources on jamming like that? like how to make all those phrases and stuff like that... any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
Hey man, sounds really good. Blownglass, where did you hear that Clapton used 50 pedals, because I don't think that's the case. After Cream he became quite a minimalist besides occasional uses of the trusty wah.
Sweeeeeet. Incredible Clapton tone, coming straight out of the amp. That amazing. He uses like 50 pedals to get his tone and you did it with an amp. The other guys/gals are right, you should be in a band, sir.
awesome man, ive seen almost all your vids. youre stone cold blues and its beautiful. i'd like to see some other types of stuff from you, like maybe try recording your own rhythm track then soloing over it, or maybe some traditional acoustic blues, or maybe more jazz type playing, i dunno. youre awesome though just wanna see what you do with some other stuff. keep it up
Hey man!! Great to see u doing some reggae(ish) stuff!! Sounding great as allways. Once u get caught by the reggae vibe it´s hard to stop! Bit like the blues.
You are putting your soul into this music. It's coming through clearly. The Clapton influence is in there, but you are giving it your own voice. That's the mark of a great player!
Many people here could feel clapton influence in my play. I never was a big Clapton fan. I have a few records and DVDs, but that's all. Never saw him live for real.
I hate clearly a big part of his career, Phil Collins period.
Maybe it's because i play a lot with his CDs, jamming with his live sessions (Crossroads)
I think Clapton's lives (70's period) are among the bests CDs to jam with.
So, what's the point ?
Jamming with CDs influence you more than you think
I agree...Very nice playing as usual Kassad62 ! You're the man ! Thanks...I'm actually working hard on my strat...Perhaps one day ! Take care brother !
Deadly man! Me n my buddy are big Clapton fans, I could hear some of his influence in your playing before, but I'm glad you did this one. You have feel man!
It made me wanna dance!!! Great!!

Absolutely great! Do you pic up your tone with a mic from the amp, or with the line out into your pc?
Ich think, your american vintage 62 strat would have done a better jobin this song! It's a bit more punchy! ;-)
Fibson86 5 years ago
A mic, a Sure SM58, in front of the amp. ;)
Kassad62 5 years ago
Okay, thank you! one more question..directly into your pc, or through a mixer?

Directly in the sound card of the PC ;)
