Not gonna lie, the first time I watched this in Japanese I teared up and cried a little. Out of happiness, mind you.

The first time I watched this dub, I started bawling. Out of pure, unadulterated joy.

And it was very good, indeed.

I think Layton had the hardest task of all. Phoenix and Maya don't really have official voices, so it's easier to interpret the role as you see fit. Layton had to not only assume the role, he had to do so while trying to stay close to the original voice. I think he did a pretty damn good job!

Not to say everyone else wasn't awesome. Props all around! ;)
