You can't download this album, I bought it ages ago, by accident and it was one of the best albums I've ever owned, not for the music, I still haven't listened to the whole thing, it's the artwork. There's a fucking giant letter that comes with it, and they put so much effort into it that it would just be wrong to rob them like that.
crazy, if you times the amount of views this thing has by 948,000. You get the amount of views Katy Perrys fireworks video has. HAHAHAaha, no its actually sad.
Come on people-- TV on the Radio has been around for about a decade now. They are on hiatus for the time being, but expect their next studio to kick ass as usual.
These guys are just fucking amazing... And from me who comes from more of an alternative hip-hop, soul backround I'm damn impressed that they've started to get me intrested in rock (the fact that they they sorta blend the previous genres stated, doesn't hurt either). AND THEY'RE BLACK! AWESOME!
This song epitomizes everything awesome about TV on the Radio. Funky, soulful, with a pounding bassline. Layers upon layers of sounds which only a band of geniuses would think to put together. Then as the song fades out, they strip layer by layer, and you're hearing things you didn't realize you were hearing for a couple of minutes already. Listening to this band can be an exercise.
@izzardie - yep, nicely put... I love the way the singer blends the words together...I know what I mean anyway...like a stream, nice breath control!!!
I'm no fan of TVOTR. I'm trying to listen to lots of their music to see what they're about. Definitely not into their music, but I do think this song is kinda cool.
Definitely the best song on Dear Science, album. The final chorus is just amazing. Could listen to this track all over the time. TV On The Radio rocks!
omfg this song is so good. i heard it in pacsun when i was trying on clothes and its been bothering me since that day because i didnt know what song this was
this song is fucking awesome, tvotr are the motha fuckin bee's knees and this album is one of the best of 2008 along with oracular spectacular. i'm seeing them live tmrw so piss off Sophista-cunt cause you're killing my buzz..
First of all the word "poser" is completely juvenile and sophmoric, and is a term that unmatured minds overwhelmingly throw at people that are too complex beyond their dwarfed since of reality and comprehension. And secondly, some of you TVOTR fans have more to worry about than being addicted to a shitty song. I think that some of you seriously are boarderline mentally ill. I think even the band members would agree that you guys are being quite ludacris.
Dude that's not fair for you to say that. I'm pretty sure you wouldnt want anyone judging what you listen to, especially negatively. I must admit there are crappy music in the rap and hip-hop industry but there are also good ones. Just like with rock Im pretty sure there are good bands and horrible bands.
The world was more fun when everybody was territorial about the genre they decided defined them. And nothing else could even be consider music. Well, it was more fun for me, anyway.
Everyone had to go and get pseudoenlightened, and appreciate that things they don't like might actually be good. But there is fun to be had in the way that the same mentallity becomes apologist for EVERYTHING that exists. Now most people still pick limits, but apply a sweep of tolerance by genre. Tolerance, gah!
Yeah i beg to differ. I have learned throughout my life to appreciate and accept all music, because i know where it has come from and evolved into. Saying rap is "shitty" is an ignorant statement and is unfair on how those artists were brought up to express themselves. (I'm relating this to the real rap, being from brooklyn, etc). Expand your horizons and you'll appreciate music more.
Oh yeah and TV on the radio is the best band. End of.
Ugh I love this song! I'm so glad I bought this album. I never knew who they were, but Dear Science was named the album of the year by so many magazines and stuff. I love it! "Crying" and "Family Tree" are my favorites. But I love 'em all.
i mean i guess its cool that you got this up, but why is it that some music files are totally ok to use without expressed consent, yet others get censored by youtube...i smell fascism.
i could be wrong but i think the american shows are a lot harsher than any other, i cant find any snl on here but there is so much jools holland ???????
im not talking about shows. I'm talking about the music files. Like, I uploaded a video of a jar of peanut butter and a song by the Roots. I later find out htat youtube has kept the video up but edited out the music content because they say its copyright infringement. I just don't understand why youtube will let some people (like this person - no direspect to the uploader) put up a flagrant public display of this copyrighted material (illegal) yet i couldn't use it in an artistic sense. lame.
depends on who bitches. apparently TVOTR's label either doesn't know, doesn't care, or knows this is perfect publicity.
It is beneficial to keep this on YouTube, for I am permitted to introduce someone who may possibly purchase several tickets to a show, and a couple of t-shirts while they're at it.
i totally agree and I love TV on The Radio, its just slightly annoying that I can't post music in the background of an artistic video, yet someone can blatantly pirate the music. Its not on you, its totally on youtube who selectively decides.
I'm a very open-minded music fan. I can listen to weirdest Bjork songs and tolerate them fine. But, I honestly don't understand how people "really" like this song. It's dull and boring, and the vocals are so out of tune and unbearable that I can't tell if the singer is being comical or serious. TVOTR is a very talented band, but this song is atrocious and embarrasing. The chorus especially makes me cringe.
well with such refined music tastes as "everything" i guess there is no way to argue with that. although i do agree with arcadefire21, you my friend...are a poser.
whenever you open a sentence with "i'm an open minded person but..." it means your not. stop trying to convince yourself that you are open minded and start being open minded. to be honest, i hated this album when it first came out, but i took the time to listen to it and i love it now.
