  • Love the safety pin on a ring idea... =)

I have a designer gift box that looks like a Chinese take out box full of my ribbon scraps... same concept with me though --- spools on a rod and scraps in a box lol..

  • Thanks for the tips! I am trying to figure out what to do with my loose ribbons. I already use the jar on the desk for scraps. I like the idea of the safety pins and ribbons! Thanks again!

  • Great ideas :). Instead of jars to store leftover ribbon, you can also roll them into bead organizer containers (the plastic ones with compartments from e.g. Darice). It's very affordable and keeps ribbons neat and accessible.

  • Are you and emo scrapbooker?? Cuz if you are, awesome!!!! :)

  • Great Idea with the jump rings

  • holy Hanah you are really organized as far as ribbon goes! Thanks for posting this.

  • Room of crap...haha sounds just like mine! Love it!

  • love the hanging idea...off to office depot I go! Thanks for sharing

  • Yeah, Smashing Pumpkins!! :) Thanks for sharing your ribbon sotrage tips. If you don't have one of those fancy ribbon irons and are in a pinch, I have found that running them through my Chi flat iron works very well to get the kinks out. :)

  • great tips

  • I saw this video and I now have the most organized ribbons in the world - I'm like you as I love ribbon and I don't throw away ANY !!! I have about 20 binder rings as I have my ribbons strictly by colour (that way there is room for all those 1" pieces that you just can't discard) and I have them slid on a piece of dowel which is held onto the side of a shelf unit with 2 large cup hooks !

  • I like your ideas for storing several lengths of ribbon. But I have an idea for your little bits and pieces that may be easier for you to see and more likely to use. Use a 3-ring binder and place the little pieces in clear sheet protectors in order of colour. Hope this is helpful.

  • Oh that's so great! I love easy, quick storage tips! You're so funny! Sumo wrestler hair eh?!!!! And room of sCrap....had to subscribe!

  • I have a HUGE scrap room (lucky I know) but storing riboon has always been a problem. I LOVE this idea. Thank you so much

  • oh I LOVE this blog.. thank you.. cause I have a ton of ribbon with no idea what to do with em.. You have saved me caos and disorder.

  • oh girl I have a lot of ribbon for sell on my scrap site lol. I am ribbon challenged

  • Hi did you put the ribbon through the needle on the safety pin or did you just put them through the safety pin

  • Through the needle, otherwise it will just fall off. The needle is so small it doesn't ruin the ribbon at all. HTH

  • Thanks for the tips! I am a ribbon ADDICT and have tons (maybe an understatement) of it! I already store some in jars...but I LOVE the hanging on jumprings idea! Not only does it keep it straight...but it looks cute too...looks like ribbon extensions! LOL! I'll have to try that one! P.S. I was ROFLMBO at the sumo comment...lol.

  • I love the jump ring tip... and oh my gosh I have thrown away to many little pieces of ribbon... but, now I'm going to get me a nasty little jar.... Thanks a bunch for sharing....

  • I love your tips. I am totally going to organise my ribbons the same way you have. Thanks a bunch for sharing !!
