I've never played this game, but I've heard of it. The Dreamcast was the PS2's equal and maybe even superior. To me, Jet Set Radio/Grind is simple and creative but still a good game with good music.

Now we don't really have much for good games as these aspects go, sure there are some ok Shooters but you best damn believe i'd take a Persona game or Jet Set Radio game on a Next Gen Console over any other possible game out there, with maybe the exception of Skyrim but that game still can't compare to the OST's of any of those games. @gtaexplode As much as I want it to be true, the only real evidence that they were gonna put it on the 360 and PS3 marketplaces was the fact that they renewed the trademarks for Jet Set in March last year(2009). Though that turned out to be because they were putting Beat in Sonic & Sega All Star Racing.

Listen to the stupidity of your comment, I liked the Dreamcast as much as they next guy but Sega deserved what they got coming to them after they killed the Saturn. If Sega hadn't been too busy perpetuating a story about the PS2 killing Dreamcast and brought the series to Sony's table, Jet Set Radio would still be alive today.
Nothing wrong with that. Don't get me wrong, if anything I think the Gamecube controller was best suited for JSR's style of gameplay, but on the commercial side of things to make JSRF an Xbox launch title exclusively was horrendously stupid.
@strykah92 Sega definitely should have ported JSR and JSRF to the XBox and Gamecube (not difficult to convert really, whereas PS2 might have been a problem due to VRAM, still they should have done so).
Sega really should have ported their games onto every format. Shenmue 1 and 2 should have released on XBox, Gamecube, and PS2, thus maximising sales and visibility. They needed to get their IPs out there, but didn't.
Hell, that being said, porting Shenmue II to the Xbox instead of the PS2 was probably an even bigger mistake, a game centred around Japanese culture, on a console that really only had significant success in America. You look at Yakuza now on the PS3 and oh snap, it sells like hot cakes over there.
@strykah92 you guys aren't taking into account the fact that microsoft paid a lot for and promoted sega's exclusive xbox games. that's why they didn't spend the time and money porting them to other consoles.

Think you could upload the actual gameplay mix (music only) of Sweet Soul Brother that then goes into Super Brothers, I think. I love it when 1 song mixes in with the next song. Stage with helicopter=Rock It On, sometimes followed by Magical Girl. Next = Sewer level. I have the heli stage saved 2 my vmu just to hear that, then the next levels music 2. :)
It's not a sequel, it's a remake. I agree about the music being more organic and original on the first game. A lot of people didn't play this one before the X box, so they have no idea that the majority of the songs are from this game.,..

They don't make fun, cfreative games anymore. The only thing that's growing is the FPS genre. Developers don't want to take chances to try something new that's never been done before. I miss developers taking chances to make games that are creative, fun, and unique. Peace Out Soul Brothers...

Think you could upload the actual gameplay mix (music only) of Sweet Soul Brother that then goes into Super Brothers, I think. I love it when 1 song mixes in with the next song. Stage with helicopter=Rock It On, sometimes followed by Magical Girl. Next = Sewer level. I have the heli stage saved 2 my vmu just to hear that, then the next levels music 2. :)

This game was awesome, I had it years ago and still do :)
I kept my Dreamcast games, a bit of a retro game nut at some points haha.
I hated being chased by damn dogs... and in the end they send the military and tanks HAHA!

only the sequel is for xbox, and it's WAY different from the original. And the music is all assfuck remixes of these songs, IMO <_<

It's not a sequel, it's a remake. I agree about the music being more organic and original on the first game. A lot of people didn't play this one before the X box, so they have no idea that the majority of the songs are from this game.,..

I think the JSRF version of this is a little bit better, actually. It has a little more movement.. it's more dramatic.
