Phil's screams are way better. he can go high (ex. intro of "six") and low (ex. "the weak willed"). plus, oli is god with a guitar. AILD is just average. i don't get why people like AILD so much. they're okay, but ATR is waaayyyy better. the only real competition is the drummers. both very skilled

@someguy33119 Dude not just lyrics, ATR has okay vocals, I mean there nothing that stands out compared to the next guy, but dude Tim's unclean vocals are so good, so intense and he doesn't do high, only when hes finishing the end of the verse of one of his songs he takes to high pitch which is an awesome combination. They're are talented more with their instruments too. They are so good when it comes to reinventing themselves. I really can't think of anyother band that can compare...

@someguy33119 Bullet For My Valentine does when it comes to instruments, but they only do like solos, if they ever do break downs, they don't really stand out all to much, As I Lay Dying, outstanding when it comes to doing break downs and such, I don't really notice them doing solos. But everything else about bullet just goes down the drain. And I'm basing this on, This Calling, Six, The Air I Breathe, Two Weeks, Relinquish, A Song For The Hopeless. Dude they just don't compete.

More goes into As I Lay Dyings music, and more comes out of it in my opinion. They're more technical if you ask me. They're lyrics are better, they're sound is better. I mean I like All That Remains but I mean the fact that their drummer uses triggers is a dissapointment, and there newest album is not appealing at all.

Ok. And by the way just to be clear, I actually don't hate AILD. I just think ATR is better. AILD does deliver some good songs like nothing left, through struggle, parallels, and anodyne sea.

Pfft, All That Remains wins hands down. AILD's vocalist tries to sound bass ass with the same growls all the time... Phil from ATR has a huge fucking vocal range, practically mastered it. And he sings so well. Their guitarists are creative, melodic, destructive. Their bassist is a girl, A GIRL, and she is extremely good on bass. Kind of breaks the gender divide a little. Jason isn't too good on drums but he rocks nonetheless and has the skills needed to be in a band of this magnitude :) ROCK ON!
