This is surely one of the best examples of musicians complementing each other whilst each being a master of his own instrument. Gaddzooks, the whole piece builds to the end of that sax solo at 5:21, then breaks down again, then Gadd nails it. Sheer brilliance.

This is a great video. Wish Eric Gale was there with the guys. Steve was at his peak on drums I think by 1988. I love his ears and particularly his groove.

He has gotten locked in to his "pet" Gadd licks now though. As great as he is ( he was my favorite drummer in the late 70's) It seems he has quit growing as a drummer, choosing to stick with his patented licks.

Still though, one of the all time greats.

saw this band at north sea at about this time.sat on the floor,in the middle a yard from the stage,at cornells feet.cuber was on my right.tee on my left.although I was there mainly to see dupree ,couldn't keep my eyes of tee.he was awesome,the heart of the band.

This is why the Baritone sax is the coolest sax ever. Sweet sound, but when pushed hard it can sound really nasty (oh, and that's a good thing!). Ronnie shows us what this beast is capable of. I enjoyed this very much.
