What you had then was a well-oiled state propaganda machine, which is something different. In any case, propaganda was one element of, and certainly not the core of, fascism. Where I got my definition was Antonio Gramsci and people like Robert Cox and Adam Morton - names you would be familiar with if you had actually studied political science like I did.
