Hpi Baja 5bSS ultra-wider start up of 29cc billet engine with v.2 dom silenced pipe

Hi mim7186,no worries,well it holds the road alot better and not flipped over,well not yet anyway lol.

in this video it had 6 shocks,now it has 8 shocks and the rear plastic are now gone and are HOSTILE alloy rear hubs, i still have to get alloy front hubs but haven't made up my mind of which ones to buy,i'm hoping that Hostile make alloy front hubs but i don't think they do at the moment, you can see the baja as of now under (hpi baja 5bss ultra-wider alloy upgrades p.3 of more to follow)cheers

Hi turboman412, thanks, Yeah the plastic stock hubs are not good although i drove it for a fair while and had no problems, my 5t went through a few of them alright, this is what the baja looked like on the 1 feb 2010, to see it NOW type in ( Hpi baja 5bss Ultra-Wider upgrades p.2 of ? ) cheers.

Is that the CY29RC billet head kit engine mate ? I got the same engine for my go ped.. however i havent bolted it on yet... How does it go and what oil do u use for it ?

hi cgraf83,yeah it sure is the CY29cc billet engine with a 2mm+ crank, i've seen these billets on gopeds and they look SWEET!!! on them, at first it was hard started but after a few tanks it starts first time every time and its not bad speed wise either, i use fully synthetic silkolene pro2 oil, good luck with your billet eng on your goped i've had a few of the gopeds myself but with 23cc & 26cc zenoah eng's & they were fast so i'd say yours will be even faster and great fun,

what kinda 2 stroke oil r u using?

hi soverato3, well the oil i use is Silkolene pro2 fully synthetic and i find it good,some other baja drivers like semi synthetic,hope this helps,cheers.

Hi Albear20,the two pipes are VERY GOOD i like the loud sound of the V.1 cause it makes my 5t sound like its going faster but i don't think really it is lol,the V.2 is a good pipe just a nice sound handy for built up area's,hope this helps,cheers.

That is a nice car I hav a kyosho dst with a 1/8 force down speed spoiler also a 1/8 hpi savage tuned exhaust and also a 1/8 airfilter (Big) nice car see my vids coming soon

hi minimustang01,yip a friend of mine had a hpi savage it was fully hopped and it was an wicked machine,but he's sold it on then got a baja,yours is a cool machine too,a good RTR baja is the v.2 model,but i'd go for the 5t or the SS model myself but thats just me lol,cheers.

hi,yep the 2 stroke engines are known to accelerate quick,

but they can be made to accelerate even quicker by upgrading the engine

to raceport etc etc plus the different gearings make the car take off quicker

also and the rear pipe too.cheers

Why would you do that? If you extend, extend the ARMS and not the hubs, your going to have some major issues if you actually run it. Nice show Baja.

hi,the steering is only moving around cos there's no radio gear installed in it and the steering servo is on the radio box that holds the wheels straight.

I haven't done any test runs with the engine pipe set up,when i bought the engine it already had a few tanks through it,i will be out some day next week and i'll be giving it a test run on tarmac,why so wide?,some like it some don't but it holds the road like its on rails keep tuned to see the test drive with this set up.
