This was surprisingly good version of Donkey Kong Country 2 for Game Boy. I had this game but I sold it. But I still have all Donkey Kong Country games for Super Nintendo. :)

someone should sooooooo make a soft electro song out of the Bramble Scramble theme. it has a nice natural sort of tempo to it.

honestly, donkey kong 64 would have sold awesome if it was more like dkc2. dkc(1) was a great start to the series. dkc3 got boring as it didnt have the awesome natural feeling of dkc2, which i reckon was the best game ever released on snes.

that is one of the things that bothers me about 8-bit, they never have enough channels to play the music and sound effects at the same time.

It's because the gameboy has only four audio channels and the music uses all four of them but uses channel 3 the most, which is also the channel that sound effects use. The reason why channel 3 is used so much is because it sounds the most like Super Nintendo.

Not really. They are different games based on the Donkey Kong Country counterparts. Donkey Kong Land 2's level names, though, happen to be the same as Donkey Kong Country 2's level names (most of them anyway... a couple are different). If you play this game and DKC2 side by side, you'll notice that they're actually different.
