This was surprisingly good version of Donkey Kong Country 2 for Game Boy. I had this game but I sold it. But I still have all Donkey Kong Country games for Super Nintendo. :)
in my opinion i thought the dk coin was easy to find in dck2 the hardest oine to find in dkc2 was the level that had all the ropes in it..i forget the name of it but its the same style as castle crush
No shit man. This song is awesome. I havent played this game in like 4 years but i still remeber this song. If ur a muscician u can really appreciate this song and how it blends so perfect. I wish i could get this song on a cd
i have the original donkey kong country songs in mp3 format, if you would like i could send youthem...send me your e-mail addy and i would gladly share this music with you!! bramble scramble rules!! i actually sometimes listen to it when i am in bed and it lulls me to sleep
someone should sooooooo make a soft electro song out of the Bramble Scramble theme. it has a nice natural sort of tempo to it.
honestly, donkey kong 64 would have sold awesome if it was more like dkc2. dkc(1) was a great start to the series. dkc3 got boring as it didnt have the awesome natural feeling of dkc2, which i reckon was the best game ever released on snes.
It's because the gameboy has only four audio channels and the music uses all four of them but uses channel 3 the most, which is also the channel that sound effects use. The reason why channel 3 is used so much is because it sounds the most like Super Nintendo.
@clownhorse It's not Rares fault, the Gameboy hardware was very limited and it's fucking impressive that they even managed to make such a good rendition of the SNES counterpart on such an inferior system.
Not really. They are different games based on the Donkey Kong Country counterparts. Donkey Kong Land 2's level names, though, happen to be the same as Donkey Kong Country 2's level names (most of them anyway... a couple are different). If you play this game and DKC2 side by side, you'll notice that they're actually different.
You make this world look so easy. I struggled so long before I finally made it. I couldn't stand this level, but I often played it because of the music.
these monkeys went through so much shit.

There were only 3 "stickerbush symphony" levels, right?
Bramble Blast, Bramble Scramble, and Screech's Sprint.

Well, actually, there is a part in the level of Animal Antics that has it in it, so that's 4? I think that's it, but I'm not sure...

was this song remixed in brawl? I think it might have been in the level that has the door to Tabuu in it...
starman1337 3 years ago
The song is in Brawl, it appears shortly after you get Falco/Diddy/Fox.
It is also on the scrolling Donkey Kong level.

it does get annoying that part of the music stops when a sound effect comes on
clownhorse 4 years ago 4
Yeah, I agree... the SNES games don't do that. <_<
Blaziken257 4 years ago
that is one of the things that bothers me about 8-bit, they never have enough channels to play the music and sound effects at the same time.
