@yukifujita Lacrimas are deffinately gothic rock but they have a lot more emotion in their sound than Sisters Of Mercy. Have a listen to For Her Light by Feilds Of The Nephilim, you will hear a lot more of a similarity there in the atmosphere and emotion. Carl McCoy has the most amazing voice. Christopher has that same ability to give me goosebumps.

@overlordrichard I like to consider HIM, Lacrimas, Negative, Lovex, To/Die/For, etc as Love Metal or Finnish Metal (even though Lacrimas is german). Doom Metal is heavier, slower and darker. Try Type O Negative, Katatonia, etc...

You can say this is Gothic Metal.. Because that is the subgenre where it belongs.. But You can't this is Gothic..

Gothic music (gothic rock; darkwave; batcave; etc) began in the 80s.. Gothic metal began in 90s and it came from a fusion of death with doom metal.. So it has nothing to do with it..

Christopher Schmid foi um vocalista MUITO foda. Com a voz grave dele.

Só que Rob Vitacca superou ele porque as musicas dele não são só com grave, o que deixa a musica muito melhor.

Cada um com sua qualidade, pois cada um tem um estilo diferente de cantar.

Da mesma forma que New Metal e Gothic tem suas diferenças.
