Sir , You Are Helping Me Very Much , But I love to ask you , to meditate we have to be calm , but the thinkings and the thoughts doesn;t let me to Meditate , how to remove thoughts , in a way to meditation ? Please Answer Me !
Thank you so much for these videos. They cleared all my confusion about how to meditate. They are so clear and simple and the thoughts are so wise and so calming.
I have an issue with meditation. My mind is constantly busy, it even causes my insomnia. I've heard that you should clear your mind. But I find it very difficult. I've also heard that if thoughts do come, just let them, and they will pass. I've been interested lately in Lucid Dreaming, and Out of Body Experiences, and the first step to that would be Meditating, but as I've said, it's very difficult for me to do this. Also, what's a good method to meditate in a busy area? Thanks. Love the videos.
Thank you for making these videos. :-) I found them a few months ago and am revisiting them this afternoon before attending a local center for the first time. I took particular note when you mentioned in this one using meditation to change one's state of mind. It's unclear to me, though, how focusing on negative feelings (such as anxiety/depression--or pain, as referenced in video 2) will help me to let go of them. I am concerned it would instead intensify them. :-/
@EditorSEM Don't be afraid of your negative feelings, we all experience them and they can't really hurt you. Tell yourself "pain, pain" or "depressed, depressed". I'm dealing with similar problems right now, I'm making progress and wishing you the best. :)
The feeling one gets when listening to your videos is complete calmness and concentration on the present. This is not the kind of way I usually feel when watching videos here on Youtube. This may sound wierd, but the only way I can relate this feeling to, is by comparing it to the great Buddhist teachers such as Thich Nath Han.
When I watched your videos I learned some new things and I think I will certainly try it next time in my practise .Thank you very much and again very inspiring videos !
Thanks a lot for these videos, I really like them for the aspect of it that you already mentioned in your first video: "free of the spiritual mumbo-jumbo".
Plus, they're well recorded, well sounding, and even have subtitiles, which helps to send the message more clearly... And I think that there's nothing wrong with caring a little bit about the outside of things too, it's just another piece of the picture.
thaks for that video , its making my life more beautiful and I can enjoy it more. I am just 14 but I recomend this art of meditacion. you are a relly peaceful person I really like your being
@mustabrink there is no need to try to reach a thoughtless state of mind. The nature of the mind is to think. Just accept the thoughts as "thinking, thinking" or even "distracted, distracted".
i have been meditating for the past week everyday and although it hasn't been a lot of time i feel different more pure and unworried suffered from depression recently and there has been this state of worry in my head about the fact that is hard for me to concentrate on a conversation and this evolved to other problems. i wonder if this state of worriness will ever go away completely.
Thank you very much for the help. I can't believe I ran into this stuff randomly just in a time of my life where I've grown an interested for meditation.
It's strange, I see a sadness in you in these vids. I wonder if it's just a projection..
@selvmordspilot "Thank you very much for the help. I can't believe I ran into this stuff randomly just in a time of my life where I've grown an interested for meditation."
great videos yuttadhammo, very informative and helpful!
isn't it crazy how in those famous vietnam pictures those monks were able to sit peacefully while burning themselves alive? talk about mastery of the mind~! i mean, u can't really practice something like that, its amazing someone could go forward with it without even feeling nervous.
hi, i have watched on dr. acharya Shree yogeesh' channel that meditation is a completely effortless state, that once you put effort into focusing, that meditation doesn't happen. But that contradicts what you teach in this video, which one is it? is he mistaken, or just talking about different types of meditation?
You say that you have to be in the present and should not think about when you started or how many minutes before you finish. Then, if, for instance, you had decided that you want to do a 10 minute session, how do you know when the 10 minutes are finsshed?
when I watch your videos or even just see your face, I feel a sense of calmness within my being. I am present. Normally, I dont feel this way when im around people. they are all in their own unconsciousness. lol ...you are truly peaceful....i could feel it.
Hi, i have been watching your videos lately. On this one you mentioned balancing out effort, wisdom, confidence, and concentration. i have had bad problems with my confidence, im just wondering how exactly do i metitate to increase it?
Focus on the self-doubt, and come to accept and let go of it... there is no need to increase confidence, just learn to accept and let go of the doubt. Remind yourself it is only doubt, by saying "doubting, doubting" in your mind. If, by lack of confidence, you mean self hatred or nervousness, focus on those emotions instead and remind yourself of their nature with similar mantras.
I'm trying to put your pieces of advice into action and try to meditate but I'm strugulling ! My mind is very distracted... However, the more I listen to you the more I'm confident about how how much it worth to continue...
Hi. Awesome! Thanks for the videos! You are a great speaker and I thought your videos are very clear. Im recommending your videos to my friends who want to learn about meditation
